The classic Wonder 4 is an all-time favorite and ground-breaking in so many respects and at high limit, it's at a whole new level! I played all games and even landed a rare 5 Symbol Trigger on the great Fire Light, a great one to check out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Tz-p8YTnE6s.html Thanks for watching and if you're new, Subscribe! → bit.ly/Subscribe-TBP
Hi Tim: This vid is old so you most likely won't see this, but I love Pompeii, it's my all time favorite game. I have never seen anybody bet that high on this game, and how frustrating to not hit any of the really big pays that can happen. But, since I play this game almost daily I have figured out that it usually hits better on the 3 or 4 level of betting. Max consistent betting seems to make it clam up. Also, it is famous for hitting as soon as you reduce the bet, so I normally I never go more than 5 spins without reducing for a few rolls. Also, especially on the Wonder Four version, after a bad bonus round, I will follow up with a higher bet immediately, as it likes to stack symbols on the very next roll after the bonus. Love your content, and of course I love seeing you play the newer versions of Pompeii as well!
Greetings Terry! Thanks for the kind words and watching my videos! I also love Pompeii and will continue to play it! With regard to any patterns though, I will respectfully disagree as games like Pompeii don't base their outcomes on past outcomes, so when we make these observations, I think our brains are just applying patterns to what is in actuality random play. Thanks again!
Thank you for sharing, I know how hard it was for you to keep playing after a profit of $500, then $1000. You just wanted to catch a super game for your viewers. You're so pragmatic but you do it for us! Love that about your channel!
Thanks again for your continued response to payout percentages on the machines. It is akin to how the tracks make their money on the horse races. No matter what horse at whatever odds wins in any particular race, the track is going to make the same profit on that race, even if a 99 -1 longshot comes in. And, implementing maximum bets guarantees that the house can't be broken. The difficulty with the slots, of course, is not knowing on what spin you will hit big, if it might be the very next one, or when to walk away. Setting limits is a good thing, but, if you plan a fun 2 hours at a casino and you make $200 within the first 5 minutes, it is difficult for almost any player to walk away. And the house knows and thrives upon that. One of the only "skill" games is Blackjack, and the casinos will not allow scientific/mathematical approaches to that game, even though they are not illegal, but the house can still dictate otherwise.
Sure thing and I really need to get my videos done to share my thoughts on this subject as I'd like to think they'd be popular. Honestly the only thing the casinos need to do is to keep players playing and having those winning moments feeds the mentality for others. If people can REDUCE their play, there will be more winnings sessions, as you imply. I'll note finally that you can now officially win at slots, if you only do advantage plays which means only playing certain games under certain circumstances. I great example of this was Cash Wizard World: any player who left before the Community bonus left real money on the table and the only thing you needed to do was to sit down and put in your card after them. A crew at my local did this all day, and I would be curious to know how much they made. But it never lasts, of course. That game has now been removed.
Hi Tim, so this machine gave it all to you: free games, retrigger and a great payout. Happy man. You doubled your money in a great session, Congrats on that Tim. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
Tim knows what to do when you find a Hot machine . Ride it hard and put it away dirty. Awesome video Tim. Haven't missed one of your videos yet. How many years have we been doing this??? 4? 5? yrs? Best wish and Hittem Hard Bro !!! Hittem Hard !!! There's a new King Pin in Town...
This is a fun game especially seeing it played at High Limit. I usually do better on line hits than bonuses. Tough game. You did great. Love those A's and bonus game. A big thumbs up and continued good luck Tim.
Indeed, it's a game where any one spin can be great although cracking the bonus high limit I still need to do, one day! Thanks so much for watching and your support!
Thanks for your earlier answer about the change in winning percentages over the years on slots. Here in Ontario, Canada, the first casino opened in Niagara Falls in 1996, to be followed by a plethora everywhere over the last 25 years. For the first number of years they used to have "Walls of Fame" with pictures and numbers of big winners, but eventually they stopped showing those. And, of course, there's always talk from longtime players how the big payouts have decreased over the years, and how so many machines have come and gone to the chagrin of some, citing that the newer ones are less fun, and less playtime in the free spin specials and bonus games. In addition, more machines in the smaller denomination coinage department, not as many hits, but still almost equivalent money spent on each turn.
Sure thing, I always try and thoughtfully respond as I can! It's a really interesting subject especially now with many new manufacturers joining the fray and with long-term play, I think everyone understands that the machines win. And yet, there has to be a certain method to the madness to keep players interested. You can imagine two theoretical machines, where both are set at a 90% payout percentage so over time, the House makes the same amount of money. One will ALWAYS pay back 90 cents on every dollar wagered on every spin and the other you will have a one in ten chance to win $9 per dollar wagered. Once one of those machines gives you a chance to win even though both over time will make exactly the same for the House. I think there's some of this going on, but just not to that extreme. I do feel that some of the newer games are great, such as More More Hearts and Buffalo Gold Collection as examples. I hope to have more on this in the future!
Wow! That was great! You might have lost the battle, but you definitely won the war! Those queens coming up all the time was crazy! Congrats on a great video and a great win!
Ohhhh a nickle denomination 🤗🤗 LOVE this game...I've hit a small jackpot on this in Detroit at Greentown. 💰💰💰 So glad you posted this for me to watch and smile for you and my memories 😊🥰😊
Man congratulations we don't have the 5cent version at non of our casinos down here in Cincinnati Ohio Miami Valley Casino North of Cincinnati has a $10.00 max version on wonder 4 and the Buffalo max is a $16.00 max now you know I love me some POMPEII anyway keep winning
Great play! Was one of my top three slots to play in the 90’s on .05...found old skool Pompei .25 denom at Ameristar in Colorado. Playback % higher and great bonuses! Enjoying your big wins and big play!! 😁👍
You are probably asked this question a lot, but I was wondering, to your knowledge, have the winning percentages or amounts been lowered over, say, the last 20 years?
Actually, I've never been asked this question and it's an interesting one. I'm trying to put together some "training" videos, for lack of a better description for next year which would delve into this topic more as it requires a lot of discussion although quickly, I would absolutely say that game design has gotten more sophisticated which encourages longer play, but less of a chance to have that larger win, on some titles: you're grinded out, in other words, but in a shorter period of time. I could absolutely say, choose two machine and attempt to double-up on both from a $200 bankroll and consistently have one beat the other. But there's a lot that goes into this. Hope that helps a bit though!
I still haven't yet scored the 5 Symbol trigger with wild symbols during the bonus for the ultimate! One day I'll join that club! Here's to both of us having some future luck!
Indeed, loved it! And right now, I do not actually. It's too bad the "Christmas Story" slot seems all but gone! But who knows, maybe I can get to work in the next week, hah! Thanks for your awesome support!
Tim: I can "SMACK YOU" right now! You downed your bet...ggggrrrr.... You would of had about 5 - GRAND..... I am so mad. ahhaahhah..... Well, you still made a nice profit. Congrats.... Jim in NY
lol I know, but I take comfort in knowing that betting different would have had different results: maybe better, maybe worse! Thanks so much Jim, I do really want to crack this one day!
Certainly not a bad strategy! I will say this session on Pompeii was just awesome! I had some really good hits in there. The whole game itself is a great one! Thanks for watching and commenting and good luck out there!
