If a big name brand one was $50 I think that would be a fair price. The amount some of these companies charge for some very simple parts is mind blowing.
@@Shane_Whalley 100% thanks for the awesome review man. Even if you wanted to replace the O-rings with nice fancy larger green ones it might be $1-2 a piece and less in bulk.
You are compairing these two things wrong. you are comparing them as two different products from two different companies. where as one is from a company that designed and had made that product and one is from a company that just coppied it. If you had spent he last year designing prototyping and paying for the production tooling of a product you were then going to sell for $100 to in time finally break even on your costs and start to make a product, would you be happy if i just coppied it and knocked it out for $10? China ignore all patents. All you are doing is validating theft as you like cheaper product.
@@krusher74 You need to look up amortization. I'm guessing you would defend Mishimoto prices too when they use the same Chinese factories as eBay brands for many of their products. A company like Radium Engineering is actually a small team designing and manufacturing products in house or in small batches, and their prices are far more reasonable. Most of the companies charging $100+ did not come up with the design either. They just copied the original and made a few tweaks. Most of them are also using overseas factories to manufacture them. It is a few pieces of aluminum and some O-rings. I'm not defending Chinese practices, I'm offended by the pricing a lot of companies get away with. If their pricing was more reasonable, less people would turn to cheap clone alternatives.
You think all the brand name companies have purchased a milling machine just to make clamps? They all get them manufactured in china and just get their logos laser etched onto them. All companies do it with products. It saves a heap of money on business overheads
Just got 2 of the PQY ones and had the other brands too. They're literally just as good but not the same o ring problem as in this video. They're bigger and better suited
To nie te opaski z aliexpress są super tanie... To talmud typu "vibrant" itp "firmy tuningowe" są głupio drogie. Aliexpress pokazuje ich prawdziwą wartość po prostu. To dwa kawałki aluminium, złączka i dwa oringi 👌. Bez talmudu są warte $5...
