Cool video LV. I’d say 2 things. 1. 2013 bgs was still king, so a lot of Gianni’s probably still in bgs slabs. 2. The 9 to 10 PSA report is kinda bs. Think of how many people crack out a 9. Just to get…a 9. Now there is 2 9’s in the pop but really only one. The 2018 prizm silver thing is odd. The mahomes goes for a ton. Have you ever had any luck with what to do when a card isn’t on checklist. PSA won’t grade cards not on a checklist but the card exists. There are 2 of them from 2023 chronicles baseball that aren’t on the pop report, rpa’s. No idea how to get panini to fix it.

I would bet the 9’s are rarer than what’s even showing from all the people cracking their slabs and not sending the flips in to update the Pop report.

I think PCA has every incentive to move as fast as possible. They don’t get money until the order is done so sitting on it longer hurts them. That said I think your theory about it being related to acquiring SGC may be right. There is a lot of time and resources that go into a transition like that.

In addition Dustin, 2012 & 2014 Prizm Football designs are epic too. I can’t decide between those 2 years which is my favorite although I lean towards 2014 with the players seemingly popping off the cards with that 3D effect

I got 2 orders at PSA now and yea, they are both moving slow . I did 3 orders with them last year and 4 orders so far this year. With the yearly fee going up and fact that I have sent in most of the cards that I had stacked up for grading already I will probably cancel the membership. I have a lot of cards I still would like to grade but there is not a affordable tier for them currently. Hopefully they either lower the submission prices or go back to the 99 dollar membership.

Sgc took over a mo. In early feb. Psa is next for me....

Great video as usual! Do you view the pop reports for vintage the same? Would you look at the number of total graded cards more so than specific grades? For instance, a 53 Topps S Paige has been graded 3900 times and a 1956 Topps Jackie grey back is around 2100…or does it even matter with vintage?

A lot of those PSA estimates are pretty silly! Not sure where they get or pull that info. I honestly don't even pay attesting to it but glad you brought it up. Another great video. You are just hammering the videos.....I guess that's why you are on my Mt. Rushmore!!! Keep up the great videos bud.

Those Giannis pop report numbers are crazy low. I would have guessed 500 or something which would also be very low.

I have a Feb baseball special that "arrived" 3/4, went to research 3/14 and just went into grading on monday, 3/25, so yeah they sure are taking their time. but my first 2 baseball specials did come out in under a month, so PSA can still hit that goal if they fly over the next week or so.

Maybe it was the Feb baseball special that they got slammed on? I sent in one order at the end of Feb. it arrived 3/1 and didn't get to Prep till 3/14. If went to grading last week. Two other March orders have taken about a week from arrival to Prep then stuck waiting for ID etc. For SGC I heard on some podcasts that they were crazy slammed from their recent $9 order special at the beginning of the year (paired with holiday/NY time off) and that they are focused on getting it back under 10-14 days.

I’ve always said it’s really sad how they destroyed such an awesome product with print runs and 50 plus parallels. They obviously don’t care on the backend whatsoever for the consumer.
