I wouldn't be so sure about satoru. He messes up the top of your library, making the top of your library unknown right before your flips trigger. Having him in there with blightsteel is pretty deceptive though. Also silver fur master and tetsuko Umezawa are a nonbo.
First off, this is my deck shown in this video. I just wanted to comment on this particular comment since Richard mentioned it today. You are correct on both accounts that those are both counter to the way the deck is usually running. Satoru and blightsteel was just something I wanted to put into the deck for fun. As for Silver Fur and Tetsuko Umezawa, they are interfering with one another, however the chance you play both at once is not why they are used. A lot of the creatures in the deck naturally cannot be blocked meaning the boost from silver fur just helps chip damage and act as a way to draw removal. Tetsuko allows other creatures in the deck to go from being evasive to straight up unblockable which is technically better. In both cases, its better to hold on to one until the other is removed giving you the chance to rebuild in case of a board wipe or targeted removal. If you want the truth blightsteel/Satoru really should be in a deck with Satoru at the head and Yuriko in the 99 with some more powerful etbs such as archon of cruelty, but I already have several decks and I try to make each of them unique from one another. As for Tetsuko and Silver Fur, they serve separate functions and while they are a nonbo themselves they aren't meant to be played together. In general a lot of the decks he is going to show you guys will likely be mine because I tend to build a lot.
See Jason's comment. I've just played against it and I tend to build stompy decks that aren't quite as complicated. His answer is better than mine would be
@tortuga9900 it's pretty simple, the question is how strong you want it to be? Basically you want as many cheap 1 mana evasive bodies as you get and then spells with alternative costs, but high printed mana costs. Things with delve like treasure cruise will be a lot of life from your opponent, but minimal cost to you. You'll quickly find that the deck is almost too strong for casual games though, and Yuriko only ever costs 2 to play. Remember you can ninjitsu in response to lightning bolt or even AFTER combat damage so just keep your creatures safe utilizing ninjitsu effectively and if they kill your commander think of it as more of a win they wasted removal on it. If you want to slow it down and make it more casual you can try to avoid the one mana creatures and try and pick something with etbs to get additional value from bouncing them to hand, but still make it easier for your opponent to block. That's not really how I built the deck so I don't know anything off the top of my head that would be super good. Maybe bounce creatures like Venser to help clear the board of blockers and make use of your commander. I suspect this playstyle will need more draw power though since you aren't going to land as many attacks. Another idea is death deathtouch creatures. You'll get through a lot more often if blocking means losing creatures, but this deck benefits a lot by going fast, so full disclosure I don't know how that would play.
@@jhemp I just bought this exact list and i’m going to learn the deck as how it is in this list, then i think i can change cards for how i fell in the game and that D: What i love about this list is that it implements divining top and scroll rack (my fav two cards) !!! but i’m having a hard time in 1v1 games as i don’t have another opponent to attack if the one opponent has flying
