I have been in contact with Indonesia and Indonesians for over 20 years and found there is a significant part of them overproud super bangga gitu insulting other countries and people without experience aboard. Sadly, they are still schoolchildren who still ask for money from parent or kuli workers who receive minimum wages. Both have low education and poor English proficiency.
It's good to see a Thai youtuber visit our country I've visited Thailand in 2018, when I was studying in Malaysia, I had a chance to visit and went to Songkhla. Best time of my life, too many good food and like seriously too many cuisine options. And for fellow Indonesian don't worry, many halal food too!

Indonesia train looks even better than the train i use when i went to Japan. I heard that Indonesia is already produce their own train, the don't import again. Indonesia is making a big proggress than other countries in asia.

Our last secondhand import (if the parlement approved) will be this year purchase for 2023-2024 shipment period to fill the gap of our metro(krl) train crisis (the current trains are on their retirement period since they're already 30-50 years old) until the local factory finished the brand new train in 2025, but that's still on a debate in the parlement.

I dont understand why thai people are complaining about the price here. For me, it's relative. I dont know how Thailand train is but in Indonesia, with that price, we get clean and comfortable train with nice services, plus beautiful scenery along the trip. for me as an Indonesian, it's worth the price. it shows, cause the train station is always busy and the train is always full, so i think the price is fine for us Indonesians.
Coz in Thai quite cheaper than Indonesian train tickets and there are more types of train like sleeper train. But, I think Indonesia is better in term of facilities and cleanliness especially local train like krl intercity.
To be fair you never mentioned that the train fare is skyrocketing within 3 years. He also compares it with bus. I dunno if you ever have similar experience like me, but with the same money you'll only get economy train while you can get executive bus plus dinner. He may not gave us the best comparation but he still got a point tho. I used to enjoy executive class from Pasar Senen to Yogyakarta with Rp 300K but now you will only get economy adu dengkul class 😂 for that much money without notable service improvement. Aslo if you ever compare it with airplane ticket man.. it was way more expensive, like for what? Did KAI financial condition is getting worse because they have to handle cost overun from HSR project? I use train every so often back then, unfortunately with the recent price increase I just couldn't bear it anymore. If only there were no delay and complicated airport procedures, i will never place train on the first spot. Now train is definitely the last choice for me. end my rants.

Muka orang thailand lebih mirip sama orang2 kita.. Di banding sama orang Malaysia yang sekarang lebih banyak keturunan India dan Bangladesh sehingga secara fisik tidak mirip sama orang Indonesia.

yes, because currently trans-provincial trains in indonesia just available in the java island, madura island, sumatera island, and sulawesi island yet. the other island you can use highways instead. soon we will have one more in the kalimantan island along with the new capital construction.
if the train outside between provinces is cheap for me.. try to compare the Malaysian airport train with Indonesia if Indonesia is only 70 thousand but for the Malaysian airport train it is 150 thousand and the facilities

There is cheaper executive class train from Yogyakarta to Surabaya but it leaves in the morning and at dawn. So yea next time maybe try to look for more trains in case there's cheaper option in the same route :D
There's a restaurant car usually in the middle of the train. More options (unless they already run out) and better seats. Also, usually there's a small plastic bag in the seat pocket in front of you, It's for trash, and someone will collect that trash periodically.

I'm indonesian myself, I think our train tickets price is stil cheap on my opinion. Usually I will take executive class if I was traveling alone or need to get there quick but don't want to deal with airport security. But if I just wanted to go close distance or traveling with a group of friends, I usually just take economy class, is cheaper and it easier to socialize with your friends without making the other passenger uncomfortable ofc.

You can choose another train for a cheaper price, from Yogyakarta to Surabaya I think there are many choices, from economy to executive class, starting at 160 thousand.. or you might take it on weekends so the price will be more expensive..

Khun Bank, did I misheard or you in fact said that Yogyakarta is a small station? It is actually a large station, major transit hub in Java. The red train next to your train is a commuter train connecting Yogyakarta to Solo, similar like SRT Red Line in Bangkok.

Tapi saya kira itu harga yang sepadan dengan fasilitas yang didapatkan, apalagi rata-rata kereta antar provinsi di Indonesia adalah kereta-kereta baru, sehingga wajar harga tiketnya pun akan naik karena kualitas keretanya lebih baik dari sebelumnya. Kalau mau dapat harga yang lebih murah bisa beli tiket kelas ekonomi. Waktu tempuh juga mempengaruhi harga tiket, ada kereta lain yang memiliki tujuan yang sama namun dengan kecepatan yang berbeda, jika anda menaiki kereta yang lebih lambar maka harga tiketnya pun akan lebih murah. Kami menghargai segala perubahan besar perkeretaapian di Indonesia selama lebih dari 10 tahun terakhir ini, yang dulu perkeretaapian di Indonesia mirip seperti di India, jadi harga segitu dianggap sepadan dengan segala usaha dalam perbaikan sistem dan kualitas pelayanan kereta api di Indonesia.
Masalahnya ga semua rute keretanya baru tapi tarifnya naik semua. Dan naiknya juga kira-kira lah masak ekonomi non PSO udah hampir 2 kali lipat dari harga sebelum pandemi. Kelas ekonomi sama dengan bus eksekutif plus makan. Bus aja banyak yg baru tapi ga sehebat itu naiknya.
