Get yourself a Hamilton Jazzmaster instead if you want a skeletonized mechanical watch. You know, something from a brand that has been around for ages instead of some company selling rebranded AliExpress watches
I actually have a skeleton watch and I love them, they are so cool and when u look at them for a long time you can kinda learn what each gear does. Love it
Just found your channel and I must compliment you on the scene arrangement and b-rolls, they look really good. It was interesting getting a layman's view on the watches. Thanks for the video.
Hmmmmmm... For $300: - A sapphire crystal's more or less expected at such a high price point. - The same goes for the 316L steel used for the casing. - 3 ATM of water resistance is kinda low and sad for what it is, even if it's a dress watch - 5ATM/50M would've been much better considering the "tough-looking" caseback they went for - something tells me they cheaped out on water resistance testing. - The 8S20 movement's basically a skeletonized version of the "updated" Miyota 8215 - it's not the old non-hand-wound one at least. Seems like a good chunk of the $300 price point went into the accessories and the small scale production costs, which is fair. For $300 USD though, there's a bunch of watches that punch above this league that would be worth considering instead! Some Orient Bambino's with an "open heart" window or perhaps some Pagani Design/Parnis skeleton watches are worth taking a look at at half the cost.
3ATM is pretty much hand washing and light rain protection, so you got that right. I think $300 for a watch of this type would be greatly overpriced if it was sold as is, but the gimmick of making your own design is actually fairly interesting. If you don't really care about watches and just want something cool, this will definitely be a much better decision than brands like MVMT, Daniel Wellington etc. But you saying $300 for a watch is luxury did make me laugh, since anything bellow $400 is often considered budget or cheaper xD
don't quite agree... as what I know they are assembled by human but not machine. Also, it's a mechanical watch, but MVMT / DW are quartz watch, so you're not comparing apple to apple. For me, $300 for a mechanical watch that you can customize your own with 3ATM is definitely not overpriced
Hey Hamaji Neo do you know how to gain popularity by custom keyboards because I’m starting to make premium custom keyboards 200-300 dollars to make but I wanna try to sell them to people that don’t have the time to make themselves or don’t know how to make one.
Hey hamaji im a huge fan, and your also the reason that i bought all my parts to my mechanical keyboard that I'm currently building with gateron switches, can you say hi charlie it would make my year
this isnt a keyboard vid but i'll still ask, [this is my first keyboard and i do not know shit, i got a gmmk compact]. What can i do to make my stabilizers NOT sound like garbage? they rattle, ping and make wierd noises, i clipped and bandaided them and i also ordered some dielectric grease, what would you reccomend to do? also your really close to 300k.
Somebody’s has to do a all black smoky keyboard with a all black smoky case from kbdfans and gateron black inks and smoky durock stabilizers and transparent black keycaps
Watches usually come in a square box not in a leather pouch/bag like this one. Only exception to the rectangle shaped box is the apple watch where they do the rectangle shape
I was hoping that a screw-down display case-back would have better than 30m (3 atm) of water resistance. 30m is perfectly fine, but that style of case back can easily get up to 100m, and I have a Timex with a similar case back that at least got to 50m. That being said there is some evidence that 30m is fine for swimming as long as the seals are in good shape (check out the myth-busting article on watchuseek), but higher is still better if it doesn't impact other parts of the design. I also wish that they had used the more decorated version of the Miyota 8N24 (the watch movement in both watches). The surface finishing on a skeleton watch shouldn't have that many scratches, and I've seen them come from the factory with better polishing or some nicer detailing. Also, any word on a sapphire crystal or mineral glass one? I would assume mineral glass, but it's always nice to be surprised.
