12 years ago, a Florida dude named Laszlo Hanyecz made the first purchase using bitcoin. For 10,000 bitcoins, he bought 2 "Papa John's" pizzas through a middleman from a guy named Jeremy Sturdivant. At that time it cost around $41, but as of May 22, 2022, as you all know, it is $300 million.
So, for this day, we also decided to cook our favorite Hawaiian pizza and share the recipe with you.

❂ Dough Ingredients:
(Based on 2 pizzas)
- Water (300 ml)
- All purpose flour (500 g)
- 12g. / 0.5 oz. active dry yeast
- Olive Oil (50 ml)
- Salt (1 tsp)
❂ Filling Ingredients:
- Sauce base (2 Tbsp Tomato pasta + 2 tsp Barbecue sauce)
- Mozzarella cheese (230 g. / 0.5 lb.)
- Parmesan cheese (50 g. / 0.1 lb.)
- Ham (100g. / 0.2 lb)
- Pineapple (50 g. / 0.5 lb.)
❂ Cooking process
- Stir dry yeast in 50 ml. water and 1 tsp of salt and leave it for 10 minutes
- Mix 200g. of flour with water and "yeast stuff"
- Add 25ml. of Olive Oil and mix it well
- Add another 200g. of flour
- Mix and leave the dough for 20 minutes in a warm and dark place
- Add the rest of the Olive Oil (25 ml.)
- Add the rest of flour (100g.) and mix it as good as you can.
- Split the dough in half
- Roll out the peace of dough and move to a pizza tray
- Spread the base tomato sauce all over the pizza
- Put ham, pineapple and cheese
- Put the pizza in the oven for 20 minutes (350 °F/ 180 °C)
- Pull out them from oven once it as soon as it becomes golden brown ( btw, each oven works a little differently)
- That is it! It's extremely easy. Imagine that you spent 10,000 bitcoins on this pizza and enjoy it to the fullest 😁😋
