Hey All! Just wanna say thank you to all the comments (keep em coming), and if you haven't seen here's my response to some of the top comments I've gotten here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IAz4-dfB888.html
Hi Johnathan, Thanks for the video! It is definitely helpful. I do have a question though. - When you are applying for 2nd job, when they ask for references what did you do or how did you handle it? - When you are filling out the tax forms such as W4 and other forms, how did you fill that out? I believe there’s a question saying “Do you have a 2nd job?” Btw, Can we connect on LinkedIn? Can you also talk about your sales job? What kind of sales more details? Thank you, -T
Yea I am bipolar type 2 so im extremely hyper and driven like 90% of the time lol.... Wooo weee lets list the hustles. OH and I am Director of IT for a company full time. I have just extremely carefully stacked my businesses with trusted people. If done right you can keep investing in yourself and growing. I am usually NEVER LIQUID lol.... But like u can do this stuff... I am on a lot of nootropics... NEVER HIRE UR FAMILY LOL
Oh I have designed the software that each business runs off of. So I designed everything to be run off of various dashboards from my phone/watch. lots of alexa watch macros lol. But I can travel for my actual IT job. And lol no lie like in the backend programming of my various SaaS/PaaS if any statistical outliers or redflags pop up I get a toast pushed to my watch to draw my attention. funny.. That little list of what our 4 person clan does. All that is just getting started. Moving in the shadows, networking, coordinating to blitz & disrupt the fuck out of 4 industries. Excited... ugh back to consulting.

I'M NEW TO BTC AND I'VE BEEN MAKING LOSSES TRYING TO MAKE PROFIT MYSELF IN TRADING...I THOUGHT TRADING ON DEMO ACCOUNT IS JUST LIKE TRADING THE REAL MARKET... CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT OR AT LEAST ADVICE ME ON WHAT TO DO?
Trading with an expert is the best strategy for newbies and busy investors who have little or no time to monitor their trade.. I will advice you to stop trading on your own it's very risky. Seek advice of a professional trader.
The best way to find that balance between saving and living is by investing, This way you get to have your savings intact and then live comfortably off the revenue coming in from your investment.
This is more like putting your savings in an investment company rather than the bank, hmm really ideal i think because you'd earn a better revenue than the annual interest value you could get while saving in the bank. WOW! this is really an eye opener, could you recommend an IA please? I would really appreciate that. Thanks so much for this.
@@yousefomar4710 Few years before i got to decipher the market myself i worked with an IA Gloria Blanche Laurano. She traded my $45k portfolio into $270k and i learnt a lot of things i know from her.
I have a fleet of cars here in chicago, I have 2 clients with big contracts with auto manufacturers that use most of them long-term for their hired workers. I'm making 85k to 95k a year, only 5 to 10 hours of work a week. Also a personal trainer at a private gym part time making an extra 25k a year (10 to 15 hours a week) I tried doing a third job which was more manual labor and it really stressed me, whike also working out myself 5 days a week and meal prepping, after watching this video I plan on taking up that third job again, and grind. Would love to buy real-estate. Highly inspired, great content!
Hi Johnathan, you inspired me so much that I want to follow your path taking a chance working remotely. Like you I live in the Bay area… San Jose to be exact. Married to a hardworking wife with two beautiful children. We are both nurses. Being essential workers during the pandemic and until now, we are facing a big crisis in our workplace due to workforce burnout due to staff shortage. Yes, it’s really happening. Workers are moving away from the Bay area because of the ridiculous prices of homes and rent here. We have been both passionate about our hospital services both in the clinical and surgical world that it impacts our time with our children and we face a big challenge to care for our little ones. We work different shifts just to accommodate care for both our children which is taking a toll to both our physical and mental health. Just listening to your story inspired me to try a different path perhaps you can guide me take that first step. I’m wide awake rite now watching your videos just learning from you. Please share your thoughts and advice. God Bless you. Sincerely Ivan
Most times it amazes me greatly the way I move from an average lifestyle to earning over $65k per month, utter shock is the word, I have understood a lot in the past few years to doubt that opportunities abound in the financial markets, The only thing is to know where to focus
I agree with you and I believe that the secret to financial stability is having the right investment ideas to enable you earn more money, I don't know who agrees with me but either way, I recommend either real estate or crypto and stocks
Regardless of all, investing in crypto markets trading still remains one of the best ways of getting out of poverty and obtaining financial freedom in this global economy pandemic
@richardowen3606 The fluctuations of the market only affect those that hodl coins, but traders makes money on both sides, when it's bearish they go short when it's bullish they go long...
The best strategy to use in trading crypto is to trade with a professional, like Victoria Hale she understand the market quite well, that way maximum profits are guaranteed.
Wow, I'm shocked you mention and recommended expert Mrs Victoria Hale trading strategies, i taught people don't know about her. she's really 100% legit and trustworthy
This hits home for me. I did DoD contract work in the middle east and got my money where it needs to be to not care about having a job. Got a remote job because I was bored sitting at home with Covid going on, and I am still bored as they don't work me at all. I am now looking for a 2nd remote job just to fill my days and my pockets. May as well.....
The world is very small, we're all connected Once you get found out, good luck in the future. Literally everyone is going to know, I know of someone who is blacklisted from many companies
I love this. HR lady saying you should be in jail made my day! LOL I've had so many of those moments the last few years traveling around. People are insane.
I live in Santa Clara and work super close to the San Jose airport and I sometimes do the same thing. Just watch the jets take off and wish there was something better.

On the side I’m building my RU-vid channel and asking around to learn about investing. Aside from paying for insurance and food, Im saving. I need to start investing now, but I don’t want make any dumb mistakes that could get me in trouble with taxes etc. Any advice is appreciated!
I first discovered OE in early 2021. I spent the latter part of the year making half assed attempts at getting it going, to no avail. I had intended to give it another go in 2023. This video just gave me the exact tips and motivation I needed. Thank you for this 🙏🏾
Tried it. Got fired from both jobs. And had a bad reputation. Be very careful when doing things like this jobs have regulations and when breaking rules they have set. It can cause them to pursue legal action.
No they can't. It's not illegal. Only time it becomes a legal matter is if its a possibility that there is a conflict of interest tied into some legality. If not then it's just a company policy and who cares about a reputation for one employer when the world is at the grasp of your hands with remote work
@@jus3278 they did because most remote jobs come with regulations. That you have to comply by. Its called employer contract most employers have very specific rules when working remotely. Please understand the concept before you give an opinion Heavily appreciated. Thank You.
*Starting early is the best way of getting ahead to build wealth, investing remains a priority. The stock market/crypto market has plenty of opportunities to earn a decent payout even in a downtrend, with the right skills and proper understanding of how the market works.*
@@tioyulanda6171 You are so right. I know because my advisor is able to find so many good plays. My portfolio literally went from $300k to $1.1m last year (not counting withdrawals I made) all really exciting. I guess it’s the experience and better judgement.
*I invest with mrs Eunice mattia too , she charge a 15%commission on profit made after every trading session which is fair compare to the effort she put in to make huge profit…*
Mrs Eunice Mattia really knows her way around trading, its evident from her deep knowledge of how the market works, reading signals to perfection, i feel very safe trading with her.
This video resonates with me so much I’m currently a filmmaker who works like crazy, and I’m also in a trade school learning tech/coding. So I can get a job in Tech while filmmaking to save money to invest into something that will allow me not to have to work at all.

GODBLESS YOU, THANKS FOR THE HELP!😊
PRO TIP: You need to have LinkedIn Premium (student version so you can have the whole search results showing) and reach out to employees of the company asking them about the role and looking to "connect further." The majority of HR/recruiters have big egos (they act like "ohh. You have 3 years experience, you have to still impress me."), and will not give a f about your skills and experience. Reach out to someone at the company who has a decent role and build rapport so they can put a good word in for you, and so you can actually get an interview 10 times faster.
never used linked in search but looks good advise . i depend on my profile in linked in and people email me about jobs ..i should try the premium one .money should not be a problem to make more money .thanks for sharing
Absolutely love this...been doing the 2 job thing for 20 months...2 questions (sorry if already answered)...1) how do you present this situation on resume, esp if both have value being on there. 2) any advice for how to handle the increased tax burden of double salary? The latter bit me hard this year.
I have a Electrical Contracting License in 2 states, I think I Would like to go back to school and Finish my Cyber degree I wonder if doing cyber and Electrical Contracting would be too much
People work multiple part time jobs and no one bats an eye, someone manages to work multiple full time jobs and it creates a risk of being fired or being told you should be imprisoned. This makes no sense to me. I have 168 hours to my week, I have agreed to give my single employer 40 of them. What I do with the other 128 is my business and none of theirs. Provided my other activities aren't in conflict with the first employers business goals or appearances what I do is up to me. I can manage the grind you've managed so I can find the same comfort you are talking about. I have nothing to lose at this point and if I did get got months or a year in I'd probably still have 6 figures in the bank. Thank you.
You are my new hero… 😂 The amount of parallels here is unbelievable.. from living in the Bay Area (7 years), to the lucrative job, to getting out of the race.. To even turning to comedy! You are genuinely inspiring so many ideas.. Incredible video 🙂 You are an under the radar badass my friend!
Good for you Johnathan. I am about to do the same thing. I have a salary job but working on the second gig to stash some cash and start something similar to your wealth accumulation strategy.
mans talkin about the life he forced upon himself is so crazy, my brother in christ you chose the path. not only that im sure flying around to meetings and going to steak houses is CRAZY
My mind is blown right now... I have the perfect remote job right now to be able to do this as well. I was thinking of quitting and finding my next job, but working 2 remote jobs and doubling my income sounds like a good plan... I can always quit one if it gets too overwhelming.
Real Estate investing is definitely something I’m going to do. It’s so true to find people who are doing the same thing you want to do. I’m in the “stacking” stage right now but will get there!
I’ve been contemplating this lately, albeit I’m not in software development but in sales. The company I hired on with has the ability to get to 6 figures once you begin hitting your bonus levers. In the meantime I had been thinking about getting another remote sales gig to double my income hopefully in the same area. I’m not sure yet if this is the route I’m going to go yet, or put all of my effort into my current gig where I’m making 6 figures first and then branch out.
Go apply to a job working on an assembly line. That will give you an appreciation for what you have. I dont want to sound like a boomer here, but no matter how much of a slog your daily work is, it's far better than it could be. I appreciate every day working in tech as an engineer.
Hate how companies make a big deal about employees having two jobs (full time). The average executive, managing director, director has multiple roles outside there primary job. Those roles could be Advisory roles (paid/non-paid), board seats, running there own startup, etc. Why is it a problem when an employee goes off and gets another job. As long as they don't miss any deadlines, assignments and there work doesn't suffer then what does it matter. Several of my friends in the tech space have multiple roles at various companies. They are able to do it because they have mastered time management. They use there extra income to save, invest, pay debt or improve there long term stability options. It is worth it if you are able to mentally handle the grind.
I have been seriously considering this for the past few months. I don't do it because I have a great job at a great company and I would hate to lose it. They specifically say in their employee handbook that you can't have another full time salaried position. Idk if I would risk it to get ahead. Maybe.
This puts a lens on a huge problem in modern consumerist/corporatist society... for a lot of jobs, there's no point in working 8 hrs a day... you only do it because it's part of the "contract" when you're hired... life is way bigger than just having a job
Yeah, Mike Judge CLEARLY knows this world. I mean, everyone who works in programming, not only in the US, and even non-programming jobs like in Office Space, knows it looks really ridiculous, but they're also almost documentaries. I was watching Office Space and telling myself- OMG- I work at this company! There are literally some people types from this movie I worked with back then, only slightly changed. Milton, yes, I worked with Milton, only he was a 50 something year old guy who walked THROUGH people in the hallway and always talking in a hysterical manner.
Honestly I completely disagree with this and I don't think it's as easy as presented. I ran a large digital agency while in my twenties. When we were growing we hired two devs around the same time who ended up trying to do this (and they weren't remote) lol. Things were delayed, code was broken (and they couldn't fix it), then when we finally figured it out and they got REALLY ANGRY my partner and I had to let them go and begin doing things on our own again until we could find someone reliable in our small town (this was a long time ago and remote work hadn't yet exploded with various market places). If it worked for him, great. For my company, it drained a ton of money, was a lie, 2 people ended up losing jobs (and frankly they never recovered), and because of their attitudes ended up facing libel suits for their behavior afterwords. And here we were trying to actually scale, paid the best in our more rural area than anyone else, had the projects, we just needed dedication. But life's all about choice.
yea and that choice for EVERYONE HERE EXCEPT FOR YOU... NOT BEING A SLAVE TO THE SYSTEM... u mad b/c people were literally trying to escape the plantation
@@aaronedwards9802 You're insane! Maybe you didn't read. We paid better than anybody else. The employee's lied and ended up facing lawsuits because of their behavior. If they wanted to go start their own company... b all means Go do it. Don't drain the time talent resources money from other deserving people. Your worldview is disgusting. As someone that understands how the plantation works, you still got to work... You can't just lie.
@@OlympiaMarketing you just don't get it and no offense, but taking advice from someone in crypto wizard is not really something anybody should do. The average employee does maybe three to four hours of work everyday so when I start my day I work for about 8 hours 4 hours at each job I pull down $300,000 a year. I'm broke. My mom is in a retirement home and I'm paying for it. Life is hard for some of us. I don't give a fuck that you pay better than everybody else. Cool I'll take that job and then I'll get another one. One of my jobs pays a bunch of money and it's for a big Tech firm. Whatever. I'm loyal to the dollar. It's naive to ask me to do anything else. I was the sucker for a while. The loyal employee the Yes Man, the company man. I never got rewarded for that. People don't get rewarded for that anymore. You don't get the golden watch when you retire. Usually you don't retire, usually you get fired. I don't have be disgusting mindset. I'm not stealing from anybody. I do amazing work. Both of my firms are incredibly happy with me. Stop talking about shit you don't know
I need a job. I own a laser/engraving machine but I am a single 54 year old that just cannot figure out how to make money and succeed. My credit needed work so for the last year I’ve been trying so hard to get in better shape financially but the harder I seem to try the worse off I am. I’m so sick of struggling to just get by. Please help.
Love your story man, also I loved the genuine and honest take. My approach has always been try to build products no one wants (ooof). Think your approach was better (haha).
This sounds great but I'm not even at a 6 figure salary yet.... as aren't most people. How do I get one of these coveted 6 figure salary roles? I don't feel that there is much separating me from the person who does have this role. Every time I get a higher paying job, it still feels like I'm not doing much. So how can I not do much but be deemed to be worth 6 figures a year in the eyes of an employer, who doesn't even really know what you're doing anyway? A boss who earns much more than you do but still needs help fixing a power point.... Where does this shift happen? How can I get there?
Salaries in the Bay Area are a lot higher because of the high cost of living. Six figures isn't as impressive as you might think it is. I make six figures. I make $180 and I'm really not that impressive.
@@PeacefulPariah and you’re kind of adding to my point… you make more than the grand majority of all working Americans… and it still isn’t much to you. Try living with 1/3rd of your not much. The point was how do you even get a single six figure job let alone 2.
Interesting story! I was intrigued because of getting fired while pandemic teleworking, requesting accommodation to continue due to a disability and accomplishing more than in the office. The employer apologized and offered a handsome compensation and would have offered my job back but after learning how horrible it felt to be punished for good work the thought caused anxiety and “what if they do it again” ... helped me to stick with the restrictions my doctor assigned... to work remotely. I’m still defining my purpose but truly feel now as if I’m on a path meant for me. I will consider future offers carefully with companies that are more aligned with my values.
so sorry for that . just my tips for you 3 rules which i mstered and made me mortgage free within 1.5 years alone : Rule 1 : Only remote jobs Rule 2 :Multiple job .minimum 3 Rule 3 : Any job which is remote worthy like sales or accountant or few meeting or expects work in private but just need to submit results at last ..Rule 4 : keep changing jobs often so that get more different skills . never worry if you lose one job just keep looking for another while u work for one job. job searching process should be continuos so that u dont end up in no job...
This is a well detailed and informed video. I'm here to learn how to invest after listening to a guy over the air talk about the importance of investing and how he made $410,000 in 5months from $180,000 startup. Somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas
Having monitored my portfolio performance which has made a jaw dropping $370,000 from just the past two quarters alone, I have learned why experienced traders make enormous returns from the seemingly unknown market
@@toralayous8500 Interesting, I have a lump sum doing absolutely nothing at all in my bank account, I wanna get something started with it. You seem to be doing excellent for yourself, do you trade on your own?
I'm trading with Expert Mrs Denise Mitchell, a regulated broker. Met her sometime early last year at a startup funding event. She had some interesting things to say about the state of algorithmic trading today, very obviously I'm seeing the results
This sounds amazing props to you for hustling it out. I have a very demanding sales management remote job but dictate the majority of the scheduling which is why Id be interested in looking into it. What was most ideal for you working under management or being in a position of power for your 2nd gig?
This guy is exactly how I picture myself in 5-10 years. I want to work my ass in my 20s (working 2 jobs hopefully as a data scientist), save money and invest everything on real state… 😬
This video randomly showed up in my feed. I moved to the Philippines from the States due to visa issues. I work in IT. I am currently on the education side of things. The past two years has been okay. However as think about my future I feel overwhelmed. I'm not exactly sure how to get ahead and eventually live a lifestyle where I have all the options available to me. I have $72K in student loans. I make a above average income in the Philippines. But it's not enough. Watching this video felt like I hit a wall. It's time that I do everything I can to get ahead. Looking forward for more content and inspiration.
@@googlesecurity2955 No I immigrated to the states as a kid. I was just on a temporary visa for years until it expired in 2020. I'm too family with the work visas here in the Philippines. But I am a Filipino Citizen.
@@mrmarc9115 Were quite the opposite I was born in the US and grew up here as an American Citizen. I just graduated in IT too but kinda confused with how foreigners work here/what documents needed etc. But I speak tagalog because I've been here since 4 years old, I'm 21 now.
Dude this was so cool. Love it. I would be happy just working remotely for now. Studying cloud so I can get out of the network admin role and work from home. I think if I could just get to that point I can regroup and go from there. Wishing you the best man.
Do you think a person without tech experience could land a job as an account manager? I was a retail assistant manager for 6 years, and an inventory specialist at a warehouse.
i just took a trip to Joshua Tree. My first thought when i got there was "who would ever want to live in this hell hole?" funny that you built a house there lol
That makes entirely no sense. There's no way you purchased 7 houses? Only 330k a year for just a few years lol. My wife and I make really good money 300+, and it isn't like that.
I'm curious how did you approach the interview process for the "secondary" job? Did you inform the employer of your intentions? Did you not tell the whole truth or hide the fact that you had another job? I only ask because I can imagine there being a decent push back from most employers if you told them you were working another full time job that there would time conflicts like you described in your video. On a side note, this was an inspiring and informative video, I can't wait to see more content from you and learn from your experiences!
No you never tell them.. The secret is to find two flexible jobs for 34hours a week. I start one at 06:00 until 13:00. The second I start at 12:00.minimum overlap. Kick off of projects etc I just. Block in both agenda's so nothing overlaps. Very little stress on most days. Just hard work.
dont ask dont tell.... most employer's egos create a false sense of you need this so bad you can't or wouldn't be working anywhere else. Let them keep their concepts and no need to argue differently
This is an amazing video! How did you go about learning sales? I’m currently getting my AWS saa cert, I can see myself working 2 sales roles for cloud deployment.
how would you put your most recent experience in Linkdin? Overlap both jobs in time? I stopped update my resume ever since I got another job while is remote. After 5 months, I lost my office one due to lack of fund. I am looking for one more job now
I’m in the same position. I’m working three 6 figure jobs and I want to learn how to win my time back. Also I have 401k from old jobs and need ideas on where to put them seeing that I’m not with those companies anymore.
I didn't watch more than a minute into his video after the whining about having held many of the best and most sought-after jobs on the planet.... now I see this comment. Maybe this entire thing was satire? Did I not get the joke?
@@intuit13 I've worked at many of the "best and most sought-after jobs" and they have been consistently bad situations. The problem is the "most sought-after" part. Smaller companies can be a mess, but they are more grateful for the people they have. And they will fight to keep you. When you get your "dream job" you soon find out you're just a cog in the machine, and they don't care about you. The best thing about working at these soul sucking mega-corporations is they look good on your resume, and you can use them as leverage to find a better job
Well here's the bad news yall. The remote jobs are going away. I am seeing fewer and fewer job postings for them :/. CEOs are calling for everyone to come back to the office and I can't help but think this is because we just don't know how to keep our mouths shut about something that has been happening for a while now, instead, we blast/brag about it on the internet virtually sheading light on it. (Just my thin foil)
Love it. Thanks Johnathan! I'm a dev at the thinking-of-getting-a-second-job phase. Looking back, would you still recommend a sales job over say a mid-level dev job at an "Intel"?
Hey David, depends on your current workload and you gotta remember not all sales jobs are created equal. I had one that I had to quit but I found that they were easier to manage. However, I'd go for the dev job if your current one is under control
@@johnnymmartinez Jonathan this was a great video. Thanks for sharing. My question is how long were you actually working both at the same time? I have been considering leaving my current job for a pay increase, but I may just stay and add another. Could probably do it for a year!
