Great finds! I found wool yarn and several good books last time I was at the bins. The time before that I found a handmade patchwork quilt. Would love to see mending videos!
So many things: The quilted coverlet would make beautiful Christmas stockings. That bib is an excellent shape! I made reversible flannel bibs for my granddaughter. Rick’s choices crack me up. You could make some really pretty aprons from the sheets. A coordinating solid color for the ties, pocket, etc. would be nice. For the stuffed animal - I have modified stuffed animals by removing some stuffing and replacing that with a fabric pouch filled with small glass beads. The result is a weighted stuffed animal - great for kids on the spectrum. Just make sure you sew things back nice and tight. The Scooby Doo pillow case would make an awesome drawstring bag. You could cut it down and make several smaller bags as well. Great for holding toys, stuffed animals, even a “gift bag” for someone. I also work with young children. They are sweet, adorable, hilarious and sometimes painfully honest. Great video! I always enjoy seeing your hauls!
Oh my gosh, the fun you’ll have!!! I can see some baby blankets with the pretty pink sheets and maybe some flannel?? I just am looking forward to those summer videos!’
How are you finding so many good quilts 😭 I’ve been looking for a couple of handmade ones but they’re always messed up. I’ve been looking for one like my grandma made me back when I was young (my brothers friend knocked a paint can over on it and it got totally destroyed ) I bet you could make alot selling them on whatnot 👀
Things I’ve seen for sale that you might make include: Scissor holder Pot Holders Plastic bag holder Car garbage holder that either hangs around seat or behind Center console or the like
Go girl!! On the degree. Great textiles haul. I hope bucklee is loved and cared for. Also they be worth a small fortune especially if vintage and not available anymore. I guess a trip to buckleys is on your future plans.
You could use the apron at school especially for home ec or art classes or make it into a blouse cause the print is fun for sure. The pillowcase with cartoon cars would probably be cute for your grandson for a crib sheet or such but ngl, I kinda understand Rick’s distress about the amount of quilts😁 I love thrifting too but at some point it creeps up on you and you end up with a horde you never actually use but you keep adding to. I’d like to see you mending or even sewing or whatever else you like to do (knitting, crochet, stitching).
@@TheBeallesSorry if that sounded bad. I call them Grandma quilts as l can feel the love from my Grandma when l cover up under the quilts she made me. They're real, hand-stitched quilts.
