I never understood why you open your front door right into your living room. Why there there no hallway? We have -20C on a regular basis. Why do I want my living room ass cold when I get home?
Well that could be something to worry about if you're a meth head tweaker and you owe your dealer but if you mind your business and stay away from that crap just like any other major city you'll be fine. Good things happen to good people, bad things happen to bad people.
I live in Regina and was just jumped and fought for my life when going to work at 4:30 am when a dumpster diver high on fentanyl jumped out and tried stabbing me.
@@sabn9139the replies said it’s a dead city, but honestly it’s jus full of idiots 😭 go down town and it’s just fulll of zombies. some areas are terrible too. like it’s full of prostitutes and addicts
Regina police have charged a 24-year-old man in connection with the city’s third homicide of the year, as well as a string of other offences. Jamie Rae Munroe, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 21-year-old Isaiah Terrel Akachuk and with numerous attempt murder charges, spanning incidents from May 17 to 21. Isaiah Terrel Akachuk FACEBOOK Just after midnight on May 18, police officers responded to the area of 7th Avenue and Garnet Street after a caller indicated a man was lying on the sidewalk. Officers started emergency first aid on the victim until EMS arrived on scene. Akachuk was transported to hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later. Munroe is also charged with seven counts of attempt murder using a firearm, four counts of wearing a disguise with intent to commit a crime, three counts of armed robbery using a firearm, attempted murder, pointing a firearm, shoplifting theft under $5000, two counts of driving while prohibited, operating a conveyance dangerous to the public, failing to stop after an accident, and flight from a peace officer. He appeared in court Thursday morning and is due to return on July 11. Before these new charges, Munroe was already in custody following his arrest in connection with a tense manhunt and spate of violent incidents, vehicle thefts, and chases in the Regina area and other points in southern Saskatchewan, culminating in arrests May 24. The other newest charges stem from the following incidents: On May 17, just after 3 a.m., police were sent to the 1200 block of Rae Street for a weapons call and found a victim who had sustained injuries consistent with a bladed weapon. EMS attended and the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Then at 12:11 a.m. on May 18 - minutes after the call to Akachuk - police responded to the area of Dewdney Avenue and Garnet Street for what was initially reported as an incident of aggressive driving and a possible discharge of a firearm. Police and EMS attended to the area and located a 29 year-old woman who had suffered an apparent gunshot wound. EMS transported the victim to hospital for treatment of injuries described as serious. Police learned this altercation may have started in the 1400 block of Edward Street. Following these incidents, at 12:33 a.m. the same night, officers were sent to a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. Three young people, ages 15, 16 and 17, had just come out of the business when a vehicle pulled up and one of the occupants of the vehicle pointed what appeared to be a firearm at one of the victims. The suspects demanded personal property from the victims and then fled in the vehicle. About two hours later, around 4:45 a.m., police located a truck, which was confirmed to be stolen, in the area of 23rd Avenue and Hillsdale Street. The truck was travelling southbound on Hillsdale Street when its speed increased and ran a red light at an intersection. Police activated emergency equipment but the truck did not pull to the side of the road, and the truck continued to travel at a high rate of speed. Police discontinued the pursuit for safety concerns and later found the vehicle, abandoned. On May 21, 2019, at around 10:40 p.m., police were sent to the area of 14th Avenue and Reynolds Street for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. A victim was walking in the area when a vehicle pulled up beside him. An occupant of the truck pointed what appeared to be a firearm, and demanded personal property. About 10 minutes later, police went to a Regina hospital for a report of a 29 year-old man, who had been shot. Through investigation into this shooting incident, police determined the shooting had just taken place in the 1900 block of Montreal Street. The RPS Communications Centre then received a call from an individual, reporting a firearm had been discharged from a grey truck at 7th Avenue and Retallack Street, at approximately 10:53 p.m. that same day. There is no known injury associated to this event. A short time later, at 11:06 p.m., police were again dispatched to the area of 2nd Avenue and Garnet Street for a report of a 38-year-old man who had also sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Injuries to this victim were deemed to be non-life-threatening. Two minutes later, officers went to the area of 3rd Avenue and Athol Street for a report of 41-year-old man who had sustained apparent gunshot injuries. A suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and discharged it, striking him. Injuries to this victim were deemed to be serious, but non-life-threatening. On May 28 police received a report of shoplifting that occurred on May 17 at a business on the 4500 block of Gordon Road. A male and a female entered the business, collected several items, and exited the business without paying for the items. News of Munroe’s arrest comes a day after police announced charges against Donnelly Edward Nanaquatung (also known as Donelly or Donely Nanaquewetung), also arrested in connection with the string of firearms incidents on May 21 in Regina. At the time of those incidents, Regina Police Service (RPS) Deputy Chief Dean Rae told reporters RPS believed the shootings were connected because of their similarities, however, police said there was no indication of a connection between the victims. “These individuals, they just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and were walking down the street when this occurred.” Both Munroe and Nanaquatung have also been charged in connection a crime spree on Muskowekwan First Nation on May 22, one day after the five gun calls in Regina. A manhunt followed a complaint to the Punnichy RCMP detachment at 3:45 p.m. May 22, reporting a shooting near a residence on the Muskowekwan. The suspects were said to be driving a stolen Ford Explorer, which allegedly struck a male that was on foot. The male was then shot with a firearm. The incident, which began with an altercation at the Piapot First nation gas station included an argument between the suspects and two males that escalated into a physical confrontation involving a machete. One man was struck with the machete and taken to hospital and the second male fled with his family to the Muscowpetung First Nation. Police said the suspects chased the family’s vehicle to the medical clinic on Muscowpetung and tried to ram it off the road several times. Munroe is charged with 13 offences from those incidents, while Nanaquatung has five charges.
A lot of negative comments.I live on that street and its extremely peaceful in Lakeview Area. Like everywhere there are areas that are safe and those that are unsafe. The parks are beautiful .Summers are hot and winters arent as cold as in the past. I visit the mountains and Mexico like everyone else. Thats a nice house so please dont hate
I see regina still holds the title of crap! The comments say it all... if you do decide to move here be very wary of basements in this city... if it's finished and you can not see the concrete inspect inspect inspect
Wow, he says it like it's such a deal. The insulation doesn't look upgraded. Those 1960 homes always had such thin wall and little insulation as back in the 60's no one cared about energy cost. Altho, were pretty well built. It's not the worst here. But very cold weather most of the year.
I lived there for 5.5 yrs. Saskatchewan is a land of living sky and Regina is an open air prison. Nothing near by in 10 hours drive. Not enough tech jobs and promotions are dream as no one quit. Owning a house should not be the only privilege for wonderful living. Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Mississauga, Hamilton, Oshawa, London even Windsor offer vibrant life than SK
Nothing is worth that much in Regina. Its a terrible city to live in. I have lived in many cities in Canada and Regina is by far the worst. Crackheads everywhere, high risk of getting robbed, garbage everywhere. Its used to be concentrated in North Central, but now its everywhere, mostly by the people from North Central.
@@moonated You must not have been out of Saskatchewan. Dartmouth NS, Campbelton NB, Montreal, Kingston, Victoria are cities i have lived in and all cleaner and safer, and, exept for Montreal, MUCH friendlier.
There is no way I would pay 379,000 for this place in regina , I would pay 300,000 . If there was a kitchen downstairs to make it a mock suite . We both know market does not dictate this price in this city. Unless it is a good neighborhood. You never did say what part of regina this is in .
