the price of min. wage in 2003 was $6.75, In 2024 it’s $7.25. A jim’s steak was $5.25 in 2003 Today in 2024 a jim’s steak is almost 15 dollars. Let that sink in!

I took a trip to Philly because of this episode and ate at Jim’s Steaks and ordered the same thing Rachael got. The Philly cheesesteaks are delicious there.
Laughing at “too much fat is bad for you.” I was morbidly obese when in the 00s and lived in a fat-fearing household. Now, I eat low carb, high fat and am 130 lbs lighter. How times have changed in diet culture!
You can't get a cheesesteak for 5 bucks anymore. Better add at least a 1 or at some places a 2 to the beginning of the price now. A good, large cheesesteak is between 15 - 25 bucks in 2024 depending on where you go. Jim's, where Rachel went, has just reopened after being closed for a few years because of a fire.
The weirdest thing about watching this as a 35 year old is the inflation. I know I'm old, that's why I'm nostalgic for early aughts TV, but the prices, it's like my parents telling me what they used to get for a dollar. Oh dear...
