This is really helpful to me. I am looking for Pebble plus at first but your video just blow me away with Edifier G2000 sound quality. This price is also within my budget. Great job my friend and keep up your good work.
This video is a godsend, not being able to go out and test these devices first hand makes it to hard to finalize the decision when buying em online and comparing them just buy specs and reviews alone doesnt help either. Creative's Pebbles may top in some areas in the middle but the winner here is pretty clear. Thanks for this!
probably you forgot the most important thing to compare which is the pebble working from an USB slot ,the edifier has to be connect to the 220V! So i dont think these speaker has to be on the same level .... because that is absolutly clear if you have have more "power in" you going to get more "power out" as well :D
That may be true if the tester did it in this fashion but they mentioned what/how thet powered the pebble. My USB speakers are powered by either a 5v/2A (10w) phone/tablet brick or the built-in 5v/2.4A (12w) power strip ports. I don't know much about these Edifiers other than I thought they sounded better this round of testing, but you do make a valid point on all USB speakers because I see too many people complaining about them being barely better than laptops but it's most likely due to them using the USB port on the laptop to power it with which is 5v/500ma (5v/0.5A = 2.5w), which will sound anemic when pushed hard or even turned up at less demanding higher frequencies.
I would say it's not a good comparison at all! You should have either compared the Pebble v3 or the Pebble Pro against the Edifier. The frequency distribution between the Pebble speakers and the woofer, unless you placed the mic in an accurate hearing spot, it will not be great. Thanks for doing the comparison though.
Gonna ask a strange question about this demo/test, when you were recording the audio playback from the speakers, I assume that you used the same distance and calibrated to a certain spl, but did you also elevated the mic to adjust for the Creative Pebble's angle of dispersion? Thanks, great review btw.
of course. The microphone is also properly positioned. I am trying to be fair in all recording environments. Finally, listen to the recorded sound and see if it is similar to the real product.
you must have had the G2000's in an advantageous position such as close to a wall or in a corner? L like the G2000, and I have heard them often - super crisp and clean, but bass is not usually this good. I am a bit puzzled about this. But thanks for the test!
@Sound Comparisons Library Hey man... I have both and Creative Pebble Pus does have BETTER BASS... Creative has deeper bass like subwoofer bass that fills all the room and resonates within the walls... The Edifier GS200 has a weaker bass and have that kind of "tiny bass trying to be big and tight but small in sensation" that sounds very artificial bass in comparison to the full bass Creative Plus have. You should really do this review again with a New Creative Pebble Plus.
@@soundcomparisonslibrary7857 At first instance the Edifier may sound "bassier" because it sounds heavy although artificial bass... But the Creative has a hooomp like thunder that may not be heard but can be FELT like real subwoofer
Exactly, the creative peddle plus sub can hit very low frequencies (like a real sub) unlike the edifiers. I used to own the edifier s730 for a short while and gave them right away. Bass was horrible, wouldn't even go below 100hz.
@@man0grc Exactly, Bass from the Edifier GS200 couldn't go barely below 100hz... The bass from tinny speakers like that simulates these sub frequencies but are very unnatural and weak for my tastes. Glad you realized it too!
Bother making pebble v3 vs g2000? Hehehe.. kinda feels its a better match without the sub. Though I am also curious about pebble v3 vs pebble plus hahaha thx nice vid its very helpful
Thats how you do review on speakers, not like these stupid kids talking in their opinion if the speakers are good bla bla and dont even turn then on so we can hear how they sound. Good job man 👍

Typical Edifier, sounds totally muffled. I have a pair of Edifier R1700BT, for pop music it's great, but when I play games/watch movies/learn a language on Duoling, I can't make out what they are saying, it's crappier than crap. For desktop use and gaming, definitely go for pebbles.
