$40 Starscream EDH Deck Tech | Magic: The Gathering 

Love this.. Starting building a scarscream deck today. Have alot of cards to chose from and you've given me more ideas XD.

Being a king maker is a power move in and of itself...but it is always better to be the king. And we all know from the cartoon, Starscream really, really wants to be king. Soooo...I would build him with all the stuff you see here, but with the Black card with Epic from og Kamigawa that allows you to exile cards from an opponents library equal to the number of cards in your hand. With a reliquary tower that's a lot of stuff removed from a deck.

Shakedown Heavy is very underrated can be easily added to any deck that has Black and you won't regret it, from a design POV this card is stacked so what if they don't connect for damage you drew a card and untapped it for blocks! This card would be lame if they had added the text, ''Cannot Block'' but they didn't... LOL I was going to mention Clackbridge Troll being great in this deck, literally gets mentioned as I was about to type it. I think it is interesting that Shakedown Heavy feels like an updated version of Clackbridge Troll. It should be fun to note that if Starscream has Doublestrike they can immediately become the Monarch #Trickay I tend to like going heavy on removal and wipe the opponents graveyard so their stuff doesn't come back when the real show begins... Deck suggestions: - Syr Konrad (Psychosis Crawler can work here in a pinch also) with an Peer into the Abyss can do a lot of damage with Starscream as long as your the Monarch, like 2 players die from the card draw basically and the third takes a bunch of Syr Konrad damage via discarding all your creatures you drew, than you should be able to either (depending on what you drew from half your deck): a) All time favorite Living Death for more Syr Konrad triggers (if you pick some creatures that draw cards on ETB all the better for Starscream synergy) b) Empty the Catacombs for more triggers, go to discard for more triggers c) Empty the Pits at Instant speed on opponents end step, Delve them Zombies out for Konrad triggers or just win with an army on your turn. All in all Starscream can be pretty silly at hiding in the background since they are far less flashy than other commanders but that is where they shine with all their backstabbing politics :P

There is never any love for Jetfire. My opponents are always surprised how strong mine is.

I put starscream into the 99 of my queza deck. Haven't had a chance to use it yet

Can you use basilica screecher in a mono black deck if it has white in the cost for its ability?

Note: from what I understand with commander identity, you should not be able to play Basillica Screecher because its shows white mana in its text.
