Wow, I think you lost some value trying to be cute with those KKs. If you wanted to check for deception on the flop, you should have raised him on the turn. Calling on the turn keeps your range as draws, and then when the straight gets connected and you raise, there's not much he's going to call you there on the flop. At least raising on the turn still keeps your range wide with a flush draw, straight draw and also representing a set as well.
