Lets be very clear, After loosing war at Nalapani by Gorkhas with British, Nepal is indirect slavery from Delhi. India and other enemies of China never want a Nepal free from Slavery. Foreign government want Nepal to be used as base camp for Anti Chinese activities. Nepal governments whoever comes are just puppet of foreigners, they will create unimaginable problem within Nepal and the government so that this dream project never be success. I am writing this being Citizen of Nepal and with full understanding of the ground reality.
No doubt China has capacity to this project....But is it economically viable?..Nepal share has been given as loan.by china.which equivalent one annual budget...So nepal will go bankrupt just like srilanka..which leased out one seaport to china
After completion of this railway, Nepal will see growth, they'll be trade and passanger Rail passing through, which will help Nepal. Anyone traveling to China can now experience travelling to Nepal by Rail, now that will depend on how can they set the timing
What a herculean project, can't even imagine the planning that goes to a project like this. If there's a country in the world that can do it it's China, and judging by their earlier mega projects they'll probably be done ahead of schedule 💪🇨🇳

Indian blockage of supply to Nepal after the earthquake is a lession for Nepal to be wary of India. India tried to do the Sikkim way by annexing Nepal. The China-Nepal railway will alleviate this problem.

India in recent history blocked Nepal India lifeline border for 3 times. India is big neighbor but unreliable one. The fatal one was is 2015 when Nepal was blocked by India for 6 months choking Nepal economically. Therefore reliable access thru China is essential. China is always good to Nepal.
