I truly like this and your attention to detail, pointing out to viewers which way to set the border, for instance, is helpful! I'm wondering how these would look with a layer of glass paint under the lacy mat...maybe turquoise or purple, for the light to shine through!
I absolutely astounded! I never liked the place mats in and of themselves. But DAMN u made it look AWESOME! This is the first demo I seen someone use the $ store spray adhesive. U have renewed my faith in bargain products! Will try for my sons wedding. Thank you so much!!!

Hello Beverly, I live in England 🇬🇧, and have just watched this video of the lamps, they are stunning and already I’ve ordered these placemats from eBay so that I can make some for myself. I’ve used these same mats before but in gold and used them in the same way to cover my bedside table square lampshades which are black they too look stunning as the black looks so pretty behind the gold. I would never have thought to use them on vases and then transform them into lamps like you have done, thank you for so much for this tutorial you are so creative they are beautiful.
