You may need to open the back of the radio and use electronic spray on the earphone jack. I've had this problem with some vintage radios. The earphone jack is stuck in the in and earphones only position. When I sprayed the earphone jack, it made the proper "speaker -on" position and the sound came through the speaker. Dirty volume pots will cause this too. Just some thoughts.
@@barryfleischer5167 hey Barry!! Great advice....I will probably work on that then. It sounds great with those decent headphones and came through SO loud I was surprised. I went to the sale looking for old fans and radios. There was an RCA 1930s upright console but they wanted 100 and it had all the tubes but a lot of disintegrated wiring, some completely rotted or disconnected and of course didn't work. They offered to plug it in and I advised them not to do that. I decided I don't need another broken radio. LoL. I still haven't found a repair man for my big Grundig Magic Eye
