Fantastic tip. Thanks so much for the advice. I totally bought 3 of these for all my cameras. I was looking for a solution for a recent trip I am taking to Portugal and didn't want to spend $70 on the clip for my back pack. This is the best solution and secure. I did find it a bit difficult unlocking it since it it so small but that is a non-issue for the price. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I’ve been looking for the best way to attach my camera to my backpack or crossbody. I have a Sony a7iii but I also have a smaller Canon EOS M3. I believe this would be perfect for either, but especially for the EOS M3 because it’s so light. I can use it with the 20mm lens and I’m sure the camera is under a pound or so. Again, I really appreciate the information. An added trick that could help with the sound is using the tip from a cheap pair of wired earbuds over the camera clamp, so it won’t be metal on metal. This way it won’t pick up on camera.

Good tip! Although I removed the little pieces that the straps attach to on either the side of my camera. They noise of them flopping around just annoyed me a little to much. And as a video guy I figured I would just never use the strap, because the camera is almost always on a tripod or gimble. But after seeing this it would have been nice to just have a quick release solution!

Thanks. I’ve seen these but didn’t realize they had the lock. At retail the springs seemed too strong. In fact they were in the locked position.

I have the expensive quick release strap you speak of. This is a good idea. Ill use this on my other cameras!! Do me a favor tho and Never use this music again lol.. it was painful to listen too.

Won't work with the narrow strap mounts on my Canon 90d.
