Philippine massage is normally painful. Painful yet relaxing at the same time. I had one when I visited Leyte. The massage at first was relaxing but after a while it got painful, tho the 'masahista' told me it would be painful I still went with it. After the massage all the pains in my body went away magically, including my lowerback pain. I don't know what the old guy did to my lowerback but I am forever thankful ❤️🇵🇭
