His mistake was calling the bank. I would go try to get all that money out before the banks find out that was his only opportunity. What dummy. I hear stories like this all the time. People always end up calling the bank and end up losing the money if you ever come across this don’t do what these people did
The city one time cut the grass at my grandmother's house one time in all the years she was living there so I asked them if they were charging. They said no it was city property. Well we have been cutting that grass for numerous years. Yet if it was her property they would have charged 75 per hour.
If this happened to me, I'd stage a small theft from my own funds, then report it as a scammer's attack. During the call, I'd disconnect abruptly to create an impression of technical issues before the customer service access my account. Months later, I'd transfer modest amounts to offshore accounts, minimizing attention. If the bank investigates, my initial report would shift blame to the "scammers", protecting me.
That is a manual transfer with verification from the central bank and it takes 24 hours to arrive...if you want to send them automatically, it only goes to banks in the same country
@@poptartkilla3718 Well considering Elon Musk has an estimated $5 billion in liquidity, I'd hedge a bet that it's a lot closer than you think. Even if we're taking into consideration those with unreported wealth such as Putin and cartel bosses, $50b in cash is huge. That's almost a quarter of Bernard Arlnolt's entire net worth which is made up of not only cash on hand but shares, property and other assets.
@@poptartkilla3718 waddu mean? why not even close? who is that rich and has just 50billion in their account, like that kinda money would 100% be invested in stocks or whatever
@@poptartkilla3718Def close or richest in cash. Richest person currently has 200b networth. Almost all of that is in stocks/shares/investments/etc. rich billionaires don't actually have billions of dollars lol, it's called net worth, meaning its everything combined. They could sell everything/most of what they own and have more than 50 billion but then they wouldn't be making anything after that
@@BasketBloxBrosyea there's no reason to not put all your money into stocks, they don't have to work and can collect millions annually from stock dividends
mental abuse in what possible way? the only way is if you were stupid enough to get your hopes up that you'd get to keep it and no normal or even below avg IQ person would've known that money was coming out every last penny.
1. you won't be able to withdraw the money 2. they'll remove it from your account 3. even if you somehow kept it, now everyone in the jail knows you have 50 billion dollars. self explanatory what happens next
Why? You think they weren’t gonna notice a 50 billion error? Your entire life would be garnished if you even tried spending that money. No different than using a credit card, except actually worse.
That person just recieved a high that can never be matched again. I'm begging my bank to please leave me and my $11.52 cent alone. I don't need any errors like this playing with my emotions.
i was going to say the same thing. if you accidentally deposited to another account, and days later realized the mistake, you go to the bank to tell them your mistake, bank would say "sorry, we can't do anything as the money was already withdrawn. it was your mistake, we can't do anything about it."
Having too much cash is a MAJOR liability for a bank. Chase PURPOSELY dumped this into someone's account for the weekend to get it off their books. Cover their short positions.
@@sneksteppy It's simply logic, if you send money to a different person by mistake it's your fault. You're not getting the money back. Same logic should apply to the banks. Unfortunatley boomers like you have other things like dementia to worry about.
It's in my account It is my money Period Typical mob mentality The institution can dish it out but can't take it When the citizen messes up they get hit with an overdraft fee. When the bank messes up not a penny should be missing or you go to jail. The double standard is very real
Because she fell for the Saudi prince scam 😂😂😂😂,if someone would’ve done card scams then they would investigate and refund her .but since she is senile 😂😂😂😂😂😂💙falling for those send me $30k I’ll invest it in gotchaCoin and give you $30 mill 😂😂😂💀💀💀
If that happened to me, I'd transfer the money to my high yield interest account ASAP and hope they'd take a while to find the error. Collect some interest and eventually return the principle back. For reference $50B in a 5.3% high yield account is $7M a day!!!
For large transaction they more than likely have an actual human review it. Your best bet is to withdraw little by little each week so as to not raise red flags. Usually anything over 10,000 get instantly reviewed
What an idiot he should’ve transferred it to an offshore account and left the United States moved to a place that has a non-extradition treaty with United States and you have $50 billion.
I want everyone to know, when money is accidentally deposited into your account, buy gold! Burry the gold, and do the jail time. The maximum you'll get is a year, for which you'll do a few months.
The problem is the banks have certain spending limits in a day you couldn't spend 50 billion in one day if you wanted to you'd have a account already setup and transfer the money
@bustercherry2054 you're not going to get away with all the money. You spend as much as you can. Unfortunately, transfers can be reversed within a short window of time and they can be garnished by courts. . A Swiss or offshore account would work.
When the bank accidently deposits money into your account, you are not allowed to claim it, but when you accidentally send money to the wrong person, the bank will claim “you willingly paid the money” as their excuse for not having to owe money.
You don't have to be a Billionaire to help others. You have people saying they would help other if they became billionaires but won't even lend $5 to someone they know personally.
What he means is he can do more to help people with that kind of money. You don't have to be rich to help others but it makes me feel useless when I see people losing their property to natural disasters and I can't do anything to help.
@@UpUpDnDnLtRtLtRtBAStartWhich mixer would you you use though. Honestly don’t know how that amount could be moved from a Chase account. If Tornado Cash was still functioning could it work?
monero, not bitcoin. bitcoin can be traced very easily and therefore you wouldn't be allowed to do anything with the cash without the police investigating it.
I see what you're saying they would have to chase you around the world the problem is if you didn't spend it they could just take it out your bank account they wouldn't even have to Chase you it's a shame how the law Works go in these big corporations favor
I would not have kept it but I would have taken a big portion of it invested it in dividend paying stocks and every month or three months when I got paid by the company I would use those dividends to pay the bank back.
I work for 3 banks before retiring and what I can say is that it's rear a situation like this happen... But when it does it's not human error as computers is what controls it all. Even if a teller makes a mistake it would easily be corrected by the computer before money is disbursed into an account. When systems are updated, there may be a glitch at times sending the money into a random account....
Could you please explain this better? I couldn't understand and its interesting. Do you think the guy could keep silence and withdraw the money or at least a part of it?
this is when you call a lawyer. pull as much of it as u can and invest the rest. once its in ur bank account its legally your money... my buddy got paid 75000$ by his old job from a payroll mistake. he spoke with a lawyer and the lawyer said its legally his money now. his job asked for it back but they legally couldnt do anything.
"I wanna be a billionare, soooo freakin baaad" LOL well there was your shot. What a ride man !! Rich for a couple of days XD. Must be nice if it was his own money.
Although I would never dream of keeping money that did not belong to me I would also not be in a hurry to tell anyone about such a mistake. After all, even at 1 percent interest you would be earning over a million dollar a day on 50 billion dollars. Of course most banks do not compound interest daily and it is unlikely the mistake would go unnoticed for more than a few days. Still, if I were to earn any interest on it I would probably try and argue that the interest belonged to me, although I'm not sure if that would fly in a court of law.
That's right folks. If you make a mistake, they'll charge you crazy fees and possibly press charges, but if THEY make a mistake ..... you still go to prison. On a related note though, the fact that he'd do something to bless other people is why he'll never see that much money in his life. You can't obtain that degree of wealth by taking care of others.
The amount of times they get you on late fees and dumb little things. Meanwhile, doubt they gave the family anything for their error. Hypocritical organizations, ran by crooks.
I wonder what would happen if you invested that for a day or two or put it in a high interest account for a few days, then returned it but kept the interest?
Dude I’m not dump I get but I wouldn’t be the first one calling let the bank figure it out why would I waste my time in calling if the F up in the first place
It is also a VERY good Idea to get a NOTE from your Bank explaining the Error to Keep for Your Own Record. Just Incase the IRS ever does a AUDIT. Cause That WILL show Up on Their SIDE and They will Wonder where all that Money went to and Where Their Cut of the Taxes From it is. So it is Advise You get a NOTE From Your Bank again Explaining The Error and Keeping for Your Own Records. Just Incase the IRS ever Comes Around. You NEVER Know.
Convert it to bitcoin, send the bitcoin to a different wallet, convert it back to USD, donate it all to charity, take it to trial and hope for jury nullification. If it doesn't turn out the way you hoped, at least you helped millions of people.
I'm transferring 10 billion to offshore accounts where they can't confiscate it. Then I'll probably do a few years in jail for that. BUT IMA BE RICH AS FUCK WHEN I GET OUT.
hmmm investing in BTC would have been pretty stupid at that point. On tuesday, when the transaction was corrected, BTC had dropped by almost 2000 dollars. That would have been a huge loss.
Don't buy bitcoin, too slow, buy stuff like Ethereum or Ethereum Classic, faster transactions and you can literally insta-profit and even put back the money there
I would have vanished reall soon, like poof💨 next ill show up in Monaco chilling and then ill show up in Buenos Aires, next day im chillin in Rio😂 they dont have a clue where im at, just follow the bitches, the Ferraris, and yaghts😂
What if the 50 billion was accidentally deposited in an interest earning account and stayed there 1-2 weeks then when the bank wants it back and you give them back to 50 billion, do you get to keep the interest?
A mistake's a mistake; we live in a world where people need to face consequences for their actions; therefore; the bank made the mistake, they need to live with it, the people should be able to keep the money.
Bro there should be a law if a bank mistakenly puts money like that in someones bank acocunt then that person can keep the money and the bank must pay it back for making that mistake
That's a really dumb law. Why would anyone pass that law? Only idiot citizens would want that law passed because that money is probably hedgefunds and retirements.
@@natmarelnam4871If I were to accidentally walk into the wrong house I can get shot and the homeowner faces no charges but all of a sudden when a band decides to put money in my account its somehow my fault
