This skin is immoral. There's no way a cosmetic can cost this much and not change the visuals above the level of ultimate skin don't try to hide the fact that this is just a spit in a face for most people yeah you did a give away it did not change the fact that 99% people can't enjoy it just because they can't spend that ridiculous amount of money on this rip off and "celebrate" Faker. You know exactly what the difference is between spending money on the skin privately and doing a video + giveaway about it publicly. You‘re an influencer, and people like you are called that way for a reason. I‘ve spent a lot of money on league over the past years, but we‘re not talking about a $10 skin here. I get that a video like this will probably drag a lot of attention but is it really worth it? I know that people like bobby would‘ve done the same if Leblanc received the $500 version. It‘s essentially just about what you want to represent on social media / youtube / twitch. I get that you waited for a skin like this for so long, but you‘ve also known about the rightful controversies about it. And sure, each and everyone could decide for themselves what to do with the $500 from the giveaway. But you‘re doing a giveaway of that exact amount of money needed to buy that skin, at the release of that skin. You can‘t tell me there‘s no connection. In the end, it‘s all about honesty.

All the items you mentioned are physical items that can be resold as they have actual value. Once league ends service, you lose the skin as you don't actually 'own' anything. Don't get me wrong, I have no qualms about people spending money on what they want. I just wish they actually get something more than just a collectible in game with how absurd the cost is.

Humans are choosing many things collectively because they care about fairness towards others. That’s the issue I believe here. Unfortunately with sharing content, you can’t just act pretending it doesn’t impact others because it does. Your view on this point is a bit narrow minded since you are benefiting from collective decisions in your life without realising it and yet, you are saying that buying this skin or not is only an individual issue when it’s not. I feel like this is very selfish to not acknowledge the fact that it’s not a personal matter since it will indirectly impact other players whether we like it or not. That said, I don’t condemn people for buying it even if I am convinced that riot is taking the piss. The decision is very difficult to make. As an ahri main I get why you’d want an exclusive skin and why you’d want to flex with it. That’s humanly natural. But I’m kinda scared to see where all this is going. We cannot think of it as a one shot expensive price. Riot will use it as a test to see if the community is willing to pay for more and hypothetically, would follow a possible rise in prices in general. People are trying to see what difference this skin will make and what it could imply to tolerate this price on a longer term. That’s what’s discussed really atm. People don’t want prices to rise ridiculously in general. This skin offers riot a chance to say “they pay, we rise prices: they still pay, that’s fantastic”.
