The only time you should pay for a used hot tub is when you can come see it working and full of water at the seller's house before you pay. Empty used hot tubs are worth $0 unless the seller knows what's wrong with it and it's a very very new model.
But if you can get them for $0 they might just be worth it. My family got one for just the price of moving and installing it, the only issue was a control issue which we had to get fixed. Moving it sucked though, we ended up using pallet jacks to roll it across boards across the lawn. Had to leave it tied to a tree for a couple days because once we figured out *how* to move it and got it to our house it was too late in the day.
I think hot tubs are like boats, you need to have a friend that has one so you don’t have to pay for all the expenses of owning one. I’ve only owned a boat. Side note: can’t seem to get enough of your videos! Thanks!!
I thought I was already subbed to your channel but double checked now with this hot tub odyssey. If my husband brought home a used hot tub I would wonder aloud about how clean the many little jets would ever be, then I would wander away…..

We got a very similar looking one that just had a hairline crack from us tipping it and needed a new pump, been good for years aside from a heat element dying
@@biglowwoodcraftnah you see girl math is for when u buy an actual functioning new one and then benefit from all of the not spending on repairs and associated cost and on top of that calculate how much you’d pay for a spa or a hotel with again a functioning one and write that cost off for every use. Not long after you’re actually making money!
Used hot tubs are worth nothing. The only way they could be worth something is if you physically remove it from operating condition and blow it out properly. Water freezes. Pipes crack.
I bought a hot tube for 1k and spent 1k moving it but it works perfect and teh hot tube came with a pad that is probably worth 1k so I mean buy a hot tube that is nice.

you paid them to take the trash away most people will just give away pianos pool tables and hot tubs becasue they are so much work to move or throw out it just easier to have some one haul it away for free but they knew what they had and they ripped you off
I dunno, they seem like landfill fodder and I’m really not into that, partially why refurbishing a 20 year old tub is appealing. We also have cold -30 winters where I’d like to run the hot tub.

Soaking in a hot-tub by yourself, or with a spouse, is one thing, but inviting anyone else to soak in it with you is a bit creepy, in my opinion. Not into taking baths with anyone, even my spouse. Too kinky!
