Those 2 wires under hood are for your 12v power and trailer brakes at rear. They where factory pre wired but not hooked up

THe random wires under the Hood are probably for trailer brakes, or Power wire (charge) for a 7 pin trailer plug, since it had a goosneck ball in the bed.

You would be surprised how much those head supports will protect you if your in a rear end collision. I've been rear ended twice in my life. Once in a truck without head supports and once with. Without the head support my head went through the back glass and I woke up looking at the sky in the rain until the rescue squad arrived to transport me to the hospital. The whip lash was terrible and 40 years later I have pain in shoulders and neck. The second time my truck had head support, the back glass stayed in tact and my injuries weren't as severe. The irony of it all was that while I was stuck immobile, with a neck and back brace, I watched a documentary on this very topic and Ford stated that they believed that the back glass was sufficient in a rear collision. All I can say is NOT!😂

They make removable back windows I’m sure they make it for that truck I know they make it for s10s and s15s. Friend has a s15 with removable back window

Best deal i ever got was i bought a 1976 Impala in 87 or 88 for $100. We beat the piss out that car & couldn't kill it. Wish i still had it. Ty for taking us along

Nice score this thing would look killer with a set of 22” acolas and dropped…… maybe do an air bag system so that you don’t lose the towing capability and clean her up there should be plenty of junk trucks to grab interior panels from……maybe even do a video of the junk yard process of finding parts keep the killer videos coming

I'm a long bed fan but I'm also a do you fan? That's why I love Jacob. He does him and I don't care if he wants to cut a long bed down. No big deal to me. You should buy a truck from him and then extend the bed to make it a long bed. Just for the kicks and giggles and laughs. Having a long bed shortbread competition.

the wires on the brake lines look like the factory prewire for a Trailor brake controller they go on the studs at the fuse box and usually have a large fuse you can put in

Please don't slam that rig! Being a "worktruck", it will benefit you to keep the ground clearance. I'd mostly just fix what needs fixed, maybe spruce up the interior, rattle can paint wheels and blend the body and shine juice it.

Outstanding find Slick! I'll bet it tows nice. I'm curious what the gearing is. I noticed the, "5th wheel" hole, so I bet it spent time on the road, pulling. Also would explain the, "highway", wear engine and that's good mileage and the dual tires too. I hope to see a visit to Puddin's shop to get it on the lift to check out the U-Joints and look for a weeping pinion seal just in case it was working on that ranch there with the paint Clydesdales. Good job guys!

The orange and blue wires are for trailer power and trailer brakes. Also you have to have the interior light on for the cargo lamp to work, and if it's a 95 there's a recall on the wiper motor, might be funny to see if the chevy dealer will fix it. Cool truck though, you should definitely lower it some.

Ive had several of these trucks, Interior tells me its a 96 or newer. A 4-6 drop and a new bed side and she'll be a going to town rig.

I used to work on those trucks at the dealership back in the day. My favorite body style GM truck to work on and in the looks department. Those were good running trucks back in the day. The truck is a 1995 not a 1990.
