ABANDONED #YACHT !!!
Designed by Abdeslam Laraki, the P430 project, funded by future owner and a consortium of Italian bank, started in 2008 with a foreseen completion in 2012.
Construction officially stopped in 2014, after many delays and money issues.
In June 2015, #shipyard failed to settle their 210m euros #debt , and shipyard went for foreclosure and auctioned off for 94m euros, including the P430 project.
It appeared that the shipyard's CFO had "misplaced" 63m euros in the British Virgin Islands.....
In 2018, Royalton Investment finally bought the project for 6m euros only !!!!
Unfortunately, it seems that over the years, several decks have been added, affecting a lot the yacht's balance, making the current shell totally unseaworthy. It is reported that the best solution would be to cut the yacht in the middle and extend it.
We shot this #drone footage as driving along the Italian cost towards #Rome in Summer 2023, and 5 years after having been purchased by new owners, nothing seem to have moved...
