I discovered your channel yesterday morning and I’ve been binge watching your videos. Now I’m trying to get a Rebel 1100, hopefully I’ll get it before the next meet up cruise! Ps your videos are so helpful, I knew nothing of this bike and now I want one, and my fiancé also wants one 😆 thanks for doing what you do!
Oh man, another case of “I just found your channel and now I’m gonna go broke thanks to you!” 😂😂😂 So stoked my videos have helped and you’ve been digging the content dude! Happy to have you along for the ride 🤘🏻
I always cringe when I see people put things like this on their bike without using any type of thread lock... best to put something on there to keep the bolts from slowly getting loose.
Expectations are important. When I did carpet cleaning if set the customers expectations so low that I could literally leave the house with the carpets looking the same and they were satisfied
Looks good. Wonder if Honda governed it at 100 because the suspension compromises result in that head shake. Hope your Burly mods fix it! Have you considered a steering dampener?
Thanks, I'm in for one. The Rebel 1100 is my 3rd bike, but my first naked. I noticed immediately that my helmet was not sufficient, and an upgrade to the Scorpion Exo R1 Air helmet helped a lot, but I'm hoping this small windshield will minimize the wind effects a bit more for me and my phone mount. I hate all the huge windscreens so this looks like exactly the size I want for the look. P.S. Tip for rebel owners, take a look at some of those magnetic USB C cables like from Supercalla. They're well overpriced, but super useful for plugging your phone in to charge from this bike's C port under the seat, as the cable just sticks to the frame and handlebars! Always keep a pocket backpack under your seat, and I hope all of you enjoy your rides!
Who knew a 55$ mod could make a bike look so different! I totally get what you were saying with it lining up with the sissy bar. It really evens out the bikes lines and makes it look great. Definitely have to paint those front windscreen bolts black though! Great video, keep it up man!
First, thank you for the awesome videos. I am considering buying a new Rebel 1100, however, watching your video on the wobble at high speeds is scary! Did you ever resolve that?
Just sold my sportster 48 and picked up the rebel 1100 dct monday! Still a little cold here and I could feel the wind on my chest. So I put my hand in front of me and couldn't believe how much it deflected the wind. So ima try this screen. Looks good and cheap. Probably try the sissy bar you have too. Thanks for all the vids man!
"Schwoop"? Is that a technical bike term? I seem to be missing a lot. By the way, could you mention how much that windscreen is again? I think you skipped over that a little. XD
I don't come for Rebel 1100 content, but I find it very lethargic to watch motorcycle content when I can't currently ride, so I try every different kind of motovlogger I find just for that hit. You're a natural, and quite charismatic. Dig the look of the new addition, looks kind of club style.
Speed wobble on cruisers is a big problem. Due to the way the frame is set up and the twin shock in the rear it starts to wobble. My sportster does the same thing. Best way to help it is with a steering damper
I had the tiny Honda windscreen on my 500, and that thing worked wonders on the highway. I was surprised. I did get a lot of extra wind noise, but I am tall at 6'4", so a taller windscreen would probably help that. The one I've gotten for the 1100 is a taller Puig, but it's yet to arrive. Post-covid logistics, man! :)
How comfortable are you on your 1100 with your height? Did you do anything to make it more comfortable with you? I am shorter than you at 6’2 and I really want a rebel but I’m scared I’m gonna be uncomfortable
See that was the plan, but the longer I look at it, the more I don’t mind the silver bolts surprisingly! They almost compliment the 4 circles on the headlight 🤔 (But I’m also indecisive and may still paint them to see how it looks hahah)
Brother make sure that front tire is flush on the axle. When my xr650r sumo gets speed wobbles at 75-80mph that's always culprit. Jack the front of the bike up. Lossen the front axle nut wiggle the front tire pushing back against opposite fork. Then tighten it back to spec. Hitting speed bumps and pot holes knocks it out of wack. Happens between 1500-3500 miles with my xr650r depending on road conditions. Its also been a fix my brother-in-law 2020 883 when it had the wobbles . Stay safe out there brother.
I still love it dude! Pros- looks great, can’t beat the price, deflects enough wind to help with some of the neck fatigue I was getting. Cons- just that it’s on the smaller side so you don’t get as much wind deflection on your arms/top of helmet as you would from a bigger screen.
So - I got the Daytona mini screen as bit of a gamble. It arrived a month ago but I only just got the chance to fit it, well that one works surprisingly well - 10 minutes to fit and the wind line at 60 mph is at shoulders so takes all that load off the body and one still has cruiser feel with head hunting bugs doing the light fantastic on my FACE. All good.
I want one! Prob gonna make a playlist of all your installs and just buy everything you have on your bike when i get my 1100. Miiiight color the entire bike blue or sumthin tho.
Thanks I ordered the windshield. Please try ride-on tire gel. I have it in my rebel 1100 and v-star1300 . no issues at high speed. tires always balanced.
Man I found your channel from your job quitting/losing video and love the content. New sub and here to stay. I hope the best for you. Let's go! And love the content and your personality. Keep it up!
Hi Burch Nothing against chinese cheaperium windshields, I know people that mount them. Usually it's just piece of plastic and bracket and nothing should go wrong, however I've seen windshields cracked from wind, and it was never puig or any other good brands. This one is small enough that it shouldn't matter - both for chance of cracking, and wind protection :D
Dang dude, thank you!! In real life I’m a very intense person, so it’s always weird hearing people say I sound calm and comforting. It must just be the mood that riding puts me in 🤘🏻
@@LifeOfBurch yea man. Watching your videos just inspire me to go out and get a motorcycle even more, keep up the good work bro! I'll be sure to keep watching and see the channel grow. And I gotta say. Your videos have really gotten me through some tough times because of how relatable your commentary can be. All I gotta say is keep up the great work and thank you for everything dude.
@@jiggyeddy9484 thank you so much for sharing that dude! Hearing how I inspire you and have helped you through rough times is EXACTLY what keeps me going when this RU-vid stuff gets hard. Motorcycles are fun, but if my channel isn’t making an impact, it feels pointless. So thank YOU!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Discovered your channel while looking for videos before I decide to buy the rebel. Your helping so much. Love the look of the bike which is what I’m looking at doing. Keep up the great work !!
If you are looking for a bigger windscreen, I suggest the Batwing SML from Puig. I have this windscreen for my 1100 and it looks so insane, and it"s effective on highway !
Looking for what I want for my first bike. Harley guy at work talked me into looking at a metric cruiser for my first bike as I was dead set on a Harley at first. Found your channel and binge watched the playlist for this bike. I think you just helped me find my first bike. Now to take the class so I can get my order in and start tearing up the NC mountains. Thanks for the great videos. Definitely got another sub from me! Edit - Also have me wanting to check out my local taco truck 🤣
I have a cowl on the Vulcan S Cafe that came with it and it cuts the turbulence. Got a screen like yours on the Z900RS and I swear even as small as it is it deflects wind better than the cowl.
My 2022 ships at the end of the month and these videos are the only thing helping me on the wait. Or they're making me more anxious to get it, can't tell!
Hey Burch, I sure appreciate your recommend. I got one for my bike and it looks really nice. It is good to find something off of Ebay that works like a charm. awesome price point!
What's up, Burch? After watching your videos for over a year now, I finally this past week was able to ride a rebel 1100. The dealer I work at got a new dtc model in and I did the pre delivery inspection when we sold it. Sometimes I take bikes on test rides after the inspection and in this case I definitely did. I'm not in the market for a dtc model but it was not as weird as I had thought it might be. After riding it, I'd really love to get my hands on a clutch model. Though, considering I just bought a 22 monkey, I may have to sell a couple bikes before I buy a rebel.
