Guys as a violin-making student myself, I can tell you that this is a real violin kit that is used by a lot of cheap luthiers because most of the hard work is already done But you still have to work on getting all the pieces together wich requires actual tools. That's why there's no holes on the pegbox or the pegs, why the bridge is this much thick etc. That's because those steps ar the last one that make the violin fully ready to be played And also when you actually did those last steps you can legally sell the instrument under your name just like you made it whole Such a shame to even think of using those kits when you're learning violin-making the hard way...

This is a real kit but you need a lot of woodworking tools to make it. My husband made one of these a couple of years ago (a $200 kit and an additional $500 in tools and supplies), and he spent many hours on it, including gluing in the purfling, shaping the top and fitting the neck to the body - very challenging. He took it to a luthier for the final setup - bridge, nut, soundpost and strings.
