This is a Stihl BR 800 C Magnum leaf blower, the largest backpack blower Stihl makes. It worked wonderfully for a first time attempt, my technique could probably be improved. I wish the nozzle were about a foot longer, I'm 6'1" and when blowing the nozzle points down at a steeper angle than I think it would operate best at.

I've used a rake before, It takes abotu twice as long and you still end up on your knees picking gravel out of the deeper grass.

Before you buy one of them, look into the Stihl combi head. You can get a leaf blower for it, but you can also get a flap type wheel that works perfect for getting rocks out of grass as well as moving snow and dirt. Plus you can get an edger, week eater, chain saw, hedge trimmer, brush cutter, rotary brush plus other stuff. Look them up. I have one and love it.

I argue that kombi systems fall into the category of jack of many, master of none. For example comparing blowers, the kombi is only 1.9 bhp while the 800 magnum is 4.4 bhp. most other attachments where you're holding it are heavier due to the attachment mechanism. The power sweeper is an interesting attachment for sure and is probably faster, quieter, and less dusty but is still a one trick pony. I still want one.

Ive used power sweepers when i was a commercial gardener they cleard hard surface curb edges perfectly do need be a bit careful on grass as it will remove any Moss

I bought a version of this that had an insecticide tank on it and it fogs the contact killer insecticide and used it to spray 2 acres and in a few hrs killed 900.000 mosquitos. Super wet year last yr. So bad/wet the mosquitos were breading in the lawn. Had to wear long pants & full jacket and a Mosquito net even when it was 95 out and humid. It was terrible. Stihl spray foger to the rescue. My spray fogger was less powerful then this leaf blower version but it can still blow insecticide 20 ft up into the trees..

ok, well hmm... i'd normally say thats bloody lazy... BUT, it ISNT lazy its PROGRESS! make a difficult job easier by using another device for a new purpose! well think about it, you buy a leaf blower to blow leaves... thats it, blow leaves and its redundant! this way... a redundant piece of gear gets a new purpose in the mean time! its a leaf/gravel blower! brilliant joe! seriously, not bn sarcastic or funny, that is BRILLIANT! 😊 things like this make me glad to have subbed! 😊

Leaf blowers are a lot more useful than people think. I operate bouncy castles (house over there) and we use them to blow water off them. Also use them to dry off the chairs parents sit, on saves us a lot of time.

A classic metal RAKE, would be more efficient, faster, less noise, cost lest to invest in, and less cost to maintain, better for enviorment. List goes on... "fun idea" but not a good idea.

a rake.. have you ever heard of this thing called Rake =D I believe this is the most lazy ass thing =D using a blower to blow few rocks, poor grass.. :( aand then you won't use the blower on the pavement where the rocks would easily move from the power of the blower... =D
