Cumicon WILL BE on my podcast Tuesday at 6pm EST!! You can find pictures and retirement announcement from Cumicon here: forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showpost.php?p=53168644&postcount=23550
Love your posts like this, always entertaining and interesting. You can tell that you're a good dude, personality shines through beautifully. Keep up the good work on the felt.
Yeah Joey we only tracked $50/$100 and above for all the time cumicon played. He won millions at 5/10, millions at 10/20, and millions at $25/$50. So for actual high stakes matches we covered a lot of his stuff.
Great video Joey. Graphs to me always show a story. when i look at mine i can remember loads of different points and emotions linked to it. Would you share yours Joey and tell your story along with it?
HU PLO is for sicko's anyway.... Not for me I'm affraid. I think I lack the imagionation to bluf as much as is needed HU. What surprised me is that he only 3-bet 15%, which is relatively low for HU (I think 20-25% is more common). Maybe he likes calling down a lot vs overagressive oponents like in this hand. Turn decision could've easily be a fold, especially against Isildur1. You don't improve often and every river decision is probably a real pain. But that only shows I don't have the heart and commitment. I'll just go back stealing blinds of overly passive oponents in 100PLO 6-max :P
Yeah thats pretty sick too, he must be a good post flop wrestler haha. Do you think him quittting has something to do with the emergence of PLO solvers? His playing style seems to be exploitable from a GTO standpoint.
he needs to post his hero vs villain data. man could have played 80% of hands against isuldur. HU play has a naturally higher VPIP. This makes it a bit misleading to ring games and 6 max or whatever.
Holy crap! 2011 was when I busted my hard fought bankroll of over 60k after first paying 8.5k in credit card debt starting from scratch (220usd). Lost that with a sick runup over 2 years then struggled with the game badly ever since. Crazy coincidence in a way. To me its like if Cumicon continued where I left off and all that luck and success transferred directly over to him. I always thought there was some guy or version of me crushing it like a mirror opposite in some alternate universe hahahaha... Idk man just a wacky statement to make myself feel better :p Never know maybe now that hes retired I can get my luck back lol...
Not a HU player but If the graph and stats are only heads up then is it really that unusual to have such a massive VPIP %? Seems like you would have to play a very loose game to not get stomped on.
Some players play 1 million hands and they are above EV (it doesnt account magic turns and flops before all in) and others play 1 millions hands like 100 buy ins below EV. I guess 1 300 000 hands is not enough in PLO to judge winrate.
90% VPIP with a 25bb/100 winrate over 1.2 million hands. Awesome and crusher arent the first words that come to mind. Words like cheat do spring to mind. In fact there is not a world where this guy is not cheating.
He probably retired to enjoy his money and not risk losing it all back. There are loads of players who have been up as much as $10m online over 4-6 years. They push there play and over a couple of years lose half back.
It shows in the stakes breakdown he was up 400k in those games he left off the graph. Jeez ppl will always try to haters. Try again buddy hes bona fide superstar just let him shine
Heads Up, is a totally different animal, and is the only way to get these kind of results. When 1 player who truly understands game theory plays someone who does not, the better player will always win over a decent sample. I play really well heads up, I just don't think this action is still available, that's why these successful players are retiring
GARY Gwin he stated he didn't study he just played so lol game theory. And he's retiring because this guy put in crazy volume over 5 yes playing nearly 10 hrs a day, day after day, month and month, for 5 years...
