Warms my heart to see all of the lovely comments about my nephew, Jackson. His sweet and kind nature were absolutely captured on this episode. Means the world to see his joy at having his wish fulfilled. From the bottom of my heart- thank you Make-a-Wish and Worth It!
I love how Jackson was there because of a charity and the crew didn’t make a big deal out of it. In all seriousness if they would have gone more into depth with whatever condition he has he probably would’ve felt singled out. Great job on not treating him differently, that’s the last thing someone in a bad situation wants.
So sweet people are asking about Jackson!! He is doing great! 5 years cancer free!! On his way to University of Iowa - living his best life!! Thanks again Buzzfeed and Worth It team!!
Imagine how incredibly humbling it must be to have some child's possible dying wish be to eat cheese burgers with you. Best wishes, Jackson, you were excellent.
@@tokyodrifttt Quite possibly, I don't want to ruin the nice veneer of normalcy that the video created but, it's very much within the realm of possibility, Jackson was on the show because it was his 'Make-A-Wish' wish, that program is typically for kids with terminal diseases to get one last amazing experience of their choosing so they can enjoy what the world has to offer before they lose all chance of enjoying it ever. At least, that's my understanding, feel free to correct me, anyone and everyone! XD
God Bless everybody reading this God Loves y’all🙌🏽✝️❤️🙏🏽 God Bless you and your Family and make sure to give Glory to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and put your Trust, Faith, and Love into him and believe Jesus Christ is Lord and is the Son of Our Most High God🙌🏽❤️✝️
I'm really glad they didn't dwell on the fact that he's sick the whole episode. They mentioned it once at the beginning that this was a make a wish request and that's it. They just had a good day with him. That's all.
@@JuanPellat I mean, its a reference to never dying, I saw it as kind of inspirational, especially considering make a wish is not only for kids with terminal illnesses, but with life-threatening illnesses as well.
Just because he got to make a wish doesn’t mean he’s terminal. I pray this young man beat whatever illness he’s fighting. Please god let him live a long life 🙏
I spent an uncomfortable amount of time trying to get an extra towel from French Canadians because of the way I pronounced towel. I’m from southern IN and we say ‘tal’ 🤣
@@yveewong make a wish is a foundation that gives very ill children a "wish" -- it can be as simple as they want to visit hawaii once or as complicated as being a city's superhero for a day. the children don't always have to be terminally ill, but sometimes they are. it's a great charity.
I hope he’s recovered or recovering and healthy, but he was such a great addition to the show! Very TV friendly, got along with the hosts well (it was also sweet to see Andrew and Steven be so welcoming and it felt natural, not forced at all), and he offered genuine, well thought out comments. Buzzfeed ought to offer him a job when he gets well and old enough to do so!
One of those rare episodes where we can ACTUALLY afford to eat both sides of the price spectrum. 😀 With that said, let's go!! I live so close, i can actually vlog these places!
If you can't afford to eat those $1k meals, then you are doing something wrong with your life. You need to work harder to make money. Get your life together dude. There is a difference between being frugal and choosing to not buy the $1k meals, and not being able to afford. If everyone were to work just a little harder, then they'd be able to buy those expensive meals. They just choose not to because they would rather invest their money in the stock market or make an additional payment on the mortgage. Simple as that.
Lanii JKV hey im not trying to be mean but you are literally replying to every single comment chasing clout, your cousin is very sick and the fact you want to get clout. off of this is disgusting
1. Jackson was awesome. Love that they had him on the show. 2. Steven does have a pretty even selection of all 3 priced restaurants... I think all of them do really. 3. An esteemed French chef in a hoodie is worth it. 4. Bouns Bob's burgers fact: they had to lock the Bob burger statue down because people kept stealing it.
Maybe you saw it, but they had a girl from Make a wish (or some similar foundation) co-host with Buzzfeed unsolved postmortem with Ryan a few episodes back.
Man, I really hope Jackson pulls through from whatever he's going through. Just so everyone's clear, Make-A-Wish kids aren't necessarily on death row; sometimes they can still recover
Ok, I honestly did not know that so that’s good to hear. All these years, I thought the foundation was only for children/young adults with terminal illnesses. Good to know. Thanks!
@@TheGamingSyndrom I'm more surprised they had to split a $25 burger than the fact that most expensive burger was lacking in truffle and gold. I do agree and think the double cheeseburger thing was preplanned but I doubt cost is the main cause of the lack of golden krabby patties.
@@ryantsui2802 chances are that cheeseburgers are one of Jackson's favourite food choices that had three price point restaurants in the general vicinity.
Jackson is such a cool person. I really hope he’s beat whatever he was battling. And if not...man, I know he brightened a lot of people’s days and was a true gift to the world with a lot of potential. I really hope you’re okay little dude. Much respect to everything about this video and especially to Jackson and his family. ❤️
im at my keyboard in tears, maybe its the whiskey, but god damn do i love this series. I can chronologically categorize episodes with times of my life, season one i got a new job and fell in love. Now as i grow up i get to see my imaginary internet friends excel at what they love doing. Man, what a life huh? And Jackson, god Jackson, talk about a perfect fit. much love.
ronak narkhede the make a wish foundation where very sick children can have their wish usually, they can see their favorite celebrities, or be part of their tv show.
Make a Wish is one of the best organizations out there. I love that this was his wish, and I can only imagine how amazing it was not only for Jackson, but also Steven and Andrew... Much love and burgers!!
Jackson was just the cutest. His comments were well thought out and really added something to the show. I agree with all the other people that said Jackson should come back and visit again!
@@CloudyAnimation Just means he has a life threatening illness, like cancer. Does NOT mean it is terminal. My son had a Make a Wish trip 9 years ago due to brain cancer. Is now filling out college scholarship applications. So not necessarily sad.
This comment is on vast majority of the Worth It vids for the past 3-4 seasons. They haven't done that stuff regularly since Season 2. Truffle/gold still pop up once in a while, but it's actually pretty infrequent now. And even then, it's not always super crazy, like the $30 truffle soup dumplings.
OMG Jackson is the coolest cat!! I enjoyed this episode so much I watched it twice. I want to see Jackson again, he was such a pro and had such a nice manner with him. And shout out to the show who didn't make a massive deal out of why Jackson was there, except to quietly promote the Make a wish foundation. You guys are the real deal and that's why we love watching. Big love from England! (make a wish, everybody)
Marcelo Flores My French teacher is from Nice in the south of France and it’s great cuz he always forgets words or pronounces them completely wrong and he gets so confused when we don’t understand what he means. He pronounced “cement” like “semen” once and he can’t pronounce Potato. It’s either “Payayo” “Padado” or “ Padayo” and it’s great.
Perhaps his accent is so Frenchy because he is really French. Chef Ludo is one of those celebrity chefs, like Gordon Ramsey, that I both like and hate at the same time.
@@chantel1213 I think he was just shy, nothing else. You are in front a camera and thousands of people will see you. It's not very comfortable for some people, but fun in the end.
@@lilliange715 talking questions is a skill that most people will never acquire due to the inherent difficult nature of _talking_ the question as opposed to _asking_ the question. It sounds like a simple difference but it is universally underestimated
I really enjoyed Jackson; he was bright, funny, articulate, interesting and amazing on camera. I think worth it should occasionally bring him back. Jackson made this episode extra special.
Sorry to say this or be rude but he is dying. And his life expectancy is less than a year. I researched in and make a wish foundation’s only allows terminal illness or people under 18 with under a year life expectancy
Did anybody notice the sign below the clock at 1:53? It said "Today, you will be better than you were yesterday. Today, you will inspire the person next to you." That was encouraging tbh.
I loved this episode with Jackson, truly special they kept him in every frame. I hope he is okay prayers are with you Jackson may you live a long beautiful life!
