Omg I think you might be living directly above where I used to be 😂 also your place is cheaper?? Hahaha Love what you did with the space! Love the neighbourhood too, also I hit my head on that fan ALL THE TIME 😂
Ahh hi Emma! Haha that’s so funny I wonder why it’s cheaper?? I suspect that it’s because I have to climb more stairs?🤔😂 your video was super helpful for us when we were figuring out the layout of our furniture so thank u loads!🙏🏼 and I saw you recently moved into a beautiful new place congrats!🥰
When I start watching your apartment tour video and you got into the kitchen I had the feeling I have seen this apartment before and the sliding doors of the bedoorm kind of confirmed it. It's really cool that you got the apartment that Emma aka Tokidoki Traveller lived in before. I also love your sense of humor. I'm glad you like your new apartment.
Little unsolicited advice: Pathos plants love to climb. If you install command hooks up the wall and around the TV, it can grow up to 10 ft, surrounding that tv.
I really really in love with the apartment and its friendliness! I was looking for videos of small apartments to inspire me in my apartment and yours was the best one ever! Tkss angel 💗✨🌷
From the moment that I saw the kitchen I was wondering if this was tokidoki traveller's old place so I'm glad you clarified that it's the same building.
I want to live in japan one day but these apartment tours make me realize how much space i actually have where im at. Need to minimalize so i dont have to deal with such a major downsizing so harshly
I would ignore the aircon and use the work-out room for bedroom plus office(if it’s too small i would have the desk where it is now), open up the sliding-doors to the left, put my tv on the wall with the mirror, sofa in front with a sideboard behind it and use the space in the “kitchen” for a table to make it all feel more airy😆
Wow, your apt takes me back! The layout is almost identical to the place where I lived from 2000-2004. My place had a newer bathroom and the space you're using as your bedroom was my tatami room--I slept in there and watched TV in there. I was surprised that your burner (stove?) didn't have a broiler built in! That is important! The toaster oven does help a lot, but I used my broiler all the time.
Omg I was thinking to myself, "Oh, ok. So alot of the apartments there look similar bc jeez Louise does that ever look like Emma's old apartment." Then, bam! 15:29 😂 Love what you've done with your space! I just found you today and I friggin love you already. Instant subscriber 4 lyfe 🥰 🇨🇦
Your decor is very attractive, and it’s great that you are able to have a designated workout room. But - for myself - I couldn’t live with that bathroom; it’s seriously overdue for refurbishment.
super cute place, I just found you but love to see ya thriving 💜 Btw How did you find this apartment and also do you know if it is relatively easy to rent monthly in Tokyo? I'm trying to find an apartment for a 5 month study abroad program but not really sure where to start 🤔
Thank you:) if you’re staying in Tokyo for 5 months I recommend staying in a share house! It’s month to month, I actually filmed a tour of my share house room a couple years ago haha!
80,000 for this old apartment that definitely has roaches entry points???no ma'am. I live 40 minutes outside Tokyo and i pay 78,000 for a 2LDK that has 2 ac units and 59 sqm and that was only 3 years old when I moved in
Can I get an honest answer how much u think I could get for a 2ldk it has to be I want an apartment I can live in for a couple years I’m saving up 8 thousand dollars for u know the move in fees and furniture my paycheck is 270,000 yen but a lot of that goes towards health insurance and other living expenses I still want something affordable and cheap cause I already know all that money is gonna go in the first few months. Oh and also is utilities also included in the 730 a month or is that just the rent?
See, you got the fake plants so later you're not making a "yeah, that plant died 😐" video update like Emma 😅 Ok I spoke too soon. But at least the ones in the bathroom are fake. The real ones look happy. I like your sense of humor so I think I'm gonna stick around. You had me laughing out loud at several parts. Just found your channel with your other apartment tour.
Ugh I love Tokyo so much and really miss visiting, I’d so learn Japanese and move there if I was, y’know, young again. Sigh. Anyway, love Tokyo apartment tours and watch lots…is this a really common apartment style or is it the same apartment as this one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t-13xnhyTGE.html - it looks so similar?!
Ah I’ve just seen the other comment and, yes, it seems it is! How far is it from areas like Shinjuku or Shibuya? Just being curious because you wouldn’t even get a room in a shared house in outer London for that price. Tokyo rents seem much more reasonable than here.
@@stevenedwards9171 Yes this is the same apartment that TokiDoki Traveller showed! I believe she recently moved though haha. And this apartment is roughly around 30 minutes away from central Tokyo (Shinjuku/Shibuya area). And ya I was definitely shocked by the price of housing here because that's how much I was paying a month to share a room in major US cities haha!
Haha luckily my apartment was month to month so my landlord was ok with me moving out! There was also a very loud sound almost every night so I was having issues sleeping😣 but luckily my partner and I found a new apartment that was perfect for us so we moved in together!
Now I realise how expensive UK housing is. Worse quality and thousands £££ per month. Bad neighbours and environment and bad views from ridiculously small windows!
I just prefer the word partner over ‘boyfriend’ or ‘girlfriend’ because it isn’t gendered! Whether I’m dating men or women I always tend to use partner
@@leilanirika but isn’t calling him a he gendering him anyways? What’s wrong with gendering your boyfriend or girlfriend? It clears up any confusion. Idk. I just don’t get it. Everyone’s different though. I did enjoy your video. Randomly found it while bored last night. Thanks
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with gendering the person you’re dating. He is a man and identifies as such haha. When I was dating a woman I would use the word partner to describe her if I was in professional settings or around people I didn’t know that well because I didn’t know how it would be perceived. So since then I just got used to calling the person I’m dating partner. Just a preference. To me partner is fitting because he feels like my partner in life! And thanks for watching I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
@@leilanirika I call my boyfriend my partner sometimes too because we are long term but not married. My parents also call eachother their partners because they've been together 40 years but never married. For me it's a way to show commitment that feels beyond boyfriend or girlfriend. But also Leilani's reason is perfectly valid too, I'm bisexual so I understand where she's coming from with being anxious to be out among strangers x
