Honestly my son (6) prefers the size of a phone over a tablet because it fits his hands better. We had a big 10" tablet and it was cumbersome. He did use it for controller gaming which was cool, but shortlived since we have consoles for that....

Do you think the screen is alright for a decent PDF viewer? Want to have something to carry around and not worry too hard about breaking it since its cheap lol

Yes, the PPI is higher than the 10 inch tablet with the same specs, so it will be a little sharper

Yeah $79 is a bit steep for low res screen and no phone jack and only 32gb.

I'd like to start off with an idiom. "Its only a waste of money if you buy something you dont want!" Pay more to get what you want. The 8" lenovo legion y700 does everything better, but is $400. A tablet is for media consumption, and this tablet lacks a headphone jack and widevine L1. So you cant even watch 720p Netflix. I was rooting for this tablet, but its just a non starter. I would rather it have a plastic back if it meant I could have a 3.5mm jack and widevine L1.

@@gstar7686probably depends on your use case but for me, I use it for occasional video watching, web surfing, and ham radio apps (mainly APRSdroid) and I'm quite happy with the battery life. With light usage I get multiple days of battery life out of it. I tend to try to be easy on screen brightness when I can though.
