That totally is an IKEA piece. I have a tall and narrow chest-of-drawers that matches it. The drawers have that "paper" (a design printed on the particle board bottom) in it. Your piece looks so good staged next to that chippy cabinet. Nice!

I had no choice but to totally strip a piece because someone spray painted it twice. It was horrible but, at $5, I couldn’t resist. It was solid and had a beautiful curved drawer. I’ve decided to keep it because it was a lot of work. Totally worth it!

Hey u guys, can i clear wax a piece then put polyacrylic over the wax after the wax is dried?

You always want to wax last. Polycrylic, then if you want the wax look do wax over that.

What a cute piece you turned that into !!! I need to start playing with the clay and molds ....! 😁 If you have painted a piece BUT did not wax or top coat it yet...can you still add the molds and have them stick good ? Then touch them up with paint ...than do the piece with wax or top coat? Is that putting the cart before the horse???? 😬 Pray you two are catching up to yourselves after a VERY BUSY 2 WEEKS 🙏 You were missed ❤️❤️ Good thing you guys are young !

Years back, I found this nightstand at the Goodwill for $10. It was the ugliest thing I've ever seen. It was real wood the wood was ugly and it looked like it might have been in a nursing home because they put wheels on the legs, ugh. But I can tell that it had good bones. It had like a faux bamboo effect around the two drawers in the front. And the hardware was really nice. The people there thought I was nuts. I took it home washed it down first, took off the stupid wheels and then painted it white. OMG, what a difference. And everyone liked it. When my granddaughter-in-law needed a side table. She picked that one, because she liked it and it had storage. She's never allowed to give it away though, it has to come back to me. So I understand taking something that's less than attractive, and turning it into a desirable piece of furniture. It's just great, when a plan comes together Thank you for all your videos, showing us how to make that happen.

I'll never use air dry clay again..too brittle will break if you accidentally grab it with your hand to move the peice.

We like to apply our air dry clay to the piece while it’s still moist and pliable. But, if you need something durable we love using resin. Super strong and the kind we have sets up in about 5-10 minutes

@@JamiRayVintage i use apoxie sculpt now its a little pricey but also flexible so it can be applied to curved surfaces without glue if applied directly out of the mold. It's stickiness is the best part it won't slide out of position when applied in an upright project.
