All Hornady safes can be easily picked open with a Bic maker. Its the only band that uses these type tubular locks. Even Awesafe or Basrka have better tubular locks.
Word of advice, if you biy a product from a company that doesnt make what their name is on, dont buy it. Hornady makes ammo, not safes. Remington makes guns, not clothes. Ford makes trucks, not fishing rods. You get the idea. These are just outsourced to the lowest bidder in production, manufacturing a product with a different logo on it.
Not many option in this class. Secureit is 100% a gun locker, this has a ok build to it, don't know how long it will last, but for the lock it's not too bad. V-line is best, but they only make a locker for one rifle. Wish someone made a locker that you could just use your own padlocks on.
7 pin lock, what he is doing is using the plastic to just push down the pins. The marker works mostly because it's close to the same size. Work it around while keeping a bit of tension on the lock by rotating the pen to the right and you'll eventually get them all pressed down to release and turn.
