Life in Florida is TOUGH without tint. I just bought a 2023 4runner with dark Llumar ceramic tint courtesy of the previous owner, and I'm stoked

Okay... That tint looks sweet. Plus, it provides practical benefits. Having the right tint is always a win-win.

Got the new LC yesterday. Drove it 250 for 22.9 mixed mpg. Can’t believe how power vs my Trd pro 4runner. Both awesome but the new LC is really nice. I was skeptical of the 4 cylinder but now that I have it’s a big improvement . Has way more get up and go and transitions so smoothly when it kicks into passing etc. I basically bought site unseen months back via an order and am really pleased with the buy. Quality of interior and ride is exceptional.

The reverse brake squeal sounds exactly like the Tundra brake squeal. There is a TSB for it now.

If,I,get tinted what windows and what is the percent or what ever they rate them at should I get? Did you do the back window? Does it have any impact of seeing at night?

Great job on the video Jon! Thanks for making it. Out here in Las Vegas, sunlight is a real problem. It always seems to be in your eye. I still have the tint that the dealership put on when I bought it which was flaking within 2 years. NV law says 35% in the front, and only above the AS-1 line on the windshield can be tinted. But the rear windows can be as dark as they want. Only reason I would want to go darker is for the heat rejection. It hit 120 in the city the other day, and my car sits out in the sun if I'm at work.

JON love your LC with the Heritage blue. You said you're going to switch from using premium gas to regular gas. Did you find out any information that's it's ok to make the switch with gas grades.

Just spent $490 for tint on my Mazda CX 50 today lol Suntek CXP 70% windshield, 18% front doors, 5% 2nd row and back row windows. Feels like a cave. Very, very good heat rejection Vegas.

I saw you driving passing the Krispy Kreme. It was around lunchtime, so they must have been fast. And your tint looked great. I could tell it was you by the hat silhouette.

My 2020 4runner ORP and my 2021 rav4, I tinted them in 20% over the factory tint with ceramic tint and a 5% tint front window strip. Ceramic is the way to go. I've been tinting all my vehicles since 1992, the ceramic is by far the best. I've been pulled over 1 time for tint out of all my vehicles since 1992. I think it was in 2019 on my 2004 4runner that I still have. I paid the $40 ticket back then and called it a day 🙂🤣😕

Hey Jon, I just brought home my new Land Cruiser and hear a very high pitched noise ringing/whistling from inside the cabin. It shuts off when I’m stopped but resumes when I let off the brake. Do you hear this in yours? My dealer said it’s normal and it’s the hybrid engine but it seems almost unbearable to me

Indiana registration is on the pricy side. My 22 Ram Rebel was about 600 bucks new...last year is was in the mid 400s. Also, dont feel to bad about the brakes. My ram was 70ish and the brakes have squeaked in reverse since new. Tech said pads arnt chamfered from factory, so the vibrate..

When I did my 4Runner. I did 30 in the front to match and 70 for rear in the same tint you just did. It definitely makes a difference. Nice truck Jon, looking good. Do you like the Land Cruiser better than the Sequoia you had?

In Michigan it's about $200 or you can pay $400 and it be good for 2. years vs 1 year

My registration for my 20 Tacoma Trd off-road this year was $220 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. It goes down every year.

Oh the tint makes all the difference. That LC is nice. 50 a year for the state here in Idaho.

Be anxious to see how these windshields hold up. Had a wrangler and that dang thing caught rocks all day long!!!!

In FL are you allowed to tint everything? In doodoo CA, We can only tint rear window and rear passenger windows :(

I would hate to have to replace the windshield due to a rock chip (especially due to the rake of that windshield) and then have to redo the tint.

I’m in Colorado and my LC arrives in a couple weeks. 1st year registration will be about $1,200, 2nd year about $850 and it keeps going down each year.

Question: Does new LC have a dog mode? Can you leave AC running when car is completely off? Toyota rep didn’t know the answer. I knew more about the LC than he did. ha. Can't find the answer. Been hours searching. Could use some help. I have a 2007 LC Overlander and a Tesla Model Y daily driver with “Dog Mode”. I can leave my dog inside the Tesla with AC as long as battery is above 20%. Works great. Bought the car just for this feature. My dog is that important. Based on your recent videos. I like the new LC. Would be willing to trade my old LC and Tesla for a new LC. Only if the new LC has a dog mode feature. It’s a dealbreaker without. I would take my dog everywhere if new LC had a bullet proof Dog Mode feature. I was thinking the hybrid battery pack would allow the car to be turned off with the AC running cold air just like my Tesla. I wish Toyota would market dog mode also. Anyway… big help if you can answer this definitively. I bet if you made a video on this subject. It would get a lot of views. Only reason I bought a Tesla was dog mode. If LC had dog mode. I would much rather drive a LC. My guess is new LC doesn't offer this or the AC turns off without notification. My Tesla notifies me and also has a webcam for me to check on dog. Ugh I have a love hate relationship with tinting. It looks so damn good but I drive a lot at night and I can’t stand driving overly tinted vehicles at night.

Register the 2.8 in Belgium is €13500,00. Yes, you read it right... thirteenthousandfivehundred euros. €1500.00 roadtax every year. Fifteenhundred that is. Belgium wants to save the climate by reducing the amount of heavy fuelled cars.

My GX 550 in Colorado is $1600............ I think you do have to look at the bigger picture of all taxes you pay, Denver has low property tax which helps offset it if you are a home owner.

Imo, way too dark for off-roading or camping especially for night runs. Nano ceramic will reject most IR heat even with a high light transmission percentage.

Just tinted my wife's new camry for $199 and I thought that was expensive. I got a call to pick up vehicle and they said the tech accidentally used ceramic tint so I got a free upgrade.

Just a heads up Florida statute doesn’t fully allow for any tinting on the windshield. Obviously there are exceptions blah blah blah and nothing would probably happen if taken to court but catch the wrong LEO on the wrong day etc and they could write it. Doesn’t mean any thing would happen with it but wanted to give you the heads up.

Called our local ToyataDealer which is also Lexus they only have one Land Crusier 🤔.

Dark tint like that makes cars look ghetto. Ceramic without tint gets you the heat blocking without that look. To each his own but that would be enough for me not to want to buy that vehicle.
