HOA is 50 baht (1.39 American dollars) per square meter per month. So at approximately 40 sq. meters the fee would be about $56 every month.

@simontait2251 I LOVE being a princess 👸 Life is great 👍 Closet space is very important to us as we are very familiar with the struggle and notice the difference. Our house in OC in California and Hawaii have enormous amounts of closets and storage as opposed to our apartment in New York it has limited. In New York is where we need closet space more, being that we actually have to have "winter clothes" and also summer clothes there. So yes, the struggle is real! You understand, right? Thank you for the compliment! 😁

Yes...that's the one that makes all the difference..... the 49 m2 would cost around 136,000 USD, but certainly worth it...but after looking at the joined services and palatial effect.... hmmm.... monthly fees are going to be in the thousands by looks!

She has added the HOA into the information above. 50 baht ($1.39American) per square meter. So at roughly 40 square meters x 1.39 = approximately $56 US per month. Given that I currently pay $742. that sounds very reasonable.

I will be moving in March to Thailand. I am looking in the $100,000.00 range for a one bedroom. What are the hidden cost? I see 50 baht is that multiplied 50 times per month? Or just 50 baht each month? Is cost of condo, 3.4 THB or $97,000.00?

The building standards are much lower than in the US or Central Europe. And definitely no backup electric generators. That's why they are relatively cheap.

For this kind of premium it is better than Hawai’i condo. I’m saying this as someone who owns properties in both Hawaii and Thailand. It is easier for cheaper countries to implement all necessary systems for a standard housing.

The problem with buying property in a foreign country is that they can suddenly rewrite the laws. And you could get screwed. There would be nothing you can do and you might lose the place you bought. Especially in these kind of third world Oriental countries people don't really have any rights...especially foreigners. Their government is always unfair having one set of rules for the locals and another set of rules for foreigners. Complete double standard.
