This channel rock good job guy the external Amp sound so much better thin having the amp internal with subwoof in box mybe the vibration of the woofer is making Amp not work properly.
Well internal amp subwoofers are usually less powerful and the subwoofers have less cub ft of air to work with so they cannot create as much pressure, this will sound better than a small loaded power sub box but any decent custom sub or even just this sub in a different box will sound better than it does in this video, but hey for $100 it’s hard to beat.
Forgot what I was listening to but I smoked this sub out with this amp lol. I set it to 80 hz and turned the bass boost and gain all the way up and 6db slope. Went hard as fuck for like a month . The gothic takes the beating tho!! Lol wired it to 2 ohm so it's pulling a little more power. Gonna buy a 2 ohm dvc and got 1 ohm. This amp is actually pretty dope. Have a bass knob so that why I Maxx out gain
I got 2 15” kicker CVRs for 100 bucks from a guy in the flea market it came with the amp and wires I just had to disconnect it from his Yukon and bro I’m slamming. Ended up getting a 3000 watt planet audio amp for free and yup people think I’m running expensive shit but when I show them my cheap shit with a jumper cable wire as a power wire there like wtf haha all that matters u have fun enjoy your shit man
You might wanna run that planet audio on a dyno. I've already seen the results and my neighbor who had one, got an increase in output when I swapped it out for the 91RB(it was even wired at 4ohm)
My one sounds great I’m tempted to hook the second one up lol actually doing a bunch of research because I was told I need a new amp so we’ll see what happens
It might sound good or whatever but you can't just copy the sttings off previous set ups. Tuning has to be based onthe equipment You're using. Every woofer has different specs and those specs are are what you tune according to. Also, i haven't heard in any of your videos you guys talk about whether the speakers have single voice coils dual, voice coils, what does coils are rated at, and if you're hooking up the speakers to amps within the same power and ohm ratings. Knowing that information will give you a better understanding as far as how the woofers will perform and the quality of sound that you'll get from each setup.
I dont care if that little amp has Jensen on it. I was amazed 4 yrs ago with 1,and bought 6 more. Same excact setup they have in equipment. In a 05 saturn ion Redline. With the APP ON the phone with built in crossovers ,its so Future thinking, from Jensen
@@fan1.0 I have a 2022 ram, my side mirrors shake more than my rear view, 2 Rockford Fosgate T1 12 on a 3000 watt taramps in a 5.0 cu. Ft. Box. My mirror really doesn’t move
We have a video on how we have our amplifier tuned ! if you check out our channel you’ll find the other video just like this one ! or on this same video we added a card to that video! :))
@@TNG11Automotive Holy sh!+ my gain was at 10 by default. It was also set at 300hz by default which I knew was wrong so I changed it to 80hz about a week ago. But to know that my bass boost was all the way up and I been turning my head unit up to 43 is beyond crazy lmao
@@TNG11Automotive you thanks for the info you might of saved my subs lol. Although I did recently order the Rockville Db14 so I’ll be keeping the Jensen as a backup so it’s good to know how to tune it🙏🏾🙏🏾
@@TNG11AutomotiveYes, with that 4 ohm sub you're probably only getting 200 Watts out of that amp. 200 watts is pretty good, though. You'd get a lot more output if you took your other Jensen sub and wired it to this sub in parallel. The positive speaker wire goes from the amp to both subs positive terminal. The negative speaker wire goes from the amp to both subs negative terminal. If you disconnect the speaker wires from the amp and put a multimeter on it you should measure a resistance of around 2 ohms. With this setup you'll probably get around 350-400 watts from the amp plus you'll have double the cone area so it should be quite a bit louder.
Wow your the man ! 🫡 thank you so much for all the information and details 😁 very much appreciated will for-sure refer back to this when we do something like this ! 😁
@@TNG11Automotive All you have to do is Google how to wire two 4-ohm subs in parallel. You'll find diagrams that clearly show how to do the wiring. BTW, with 2 subs wired in parallel you'll get more power from the amp, but that power will be divided between the subs. If you get 400w out of the amp, that means each sub will be getting 200w. So you won't be over powering the subs. 👍
