im pretty sure scrim said this was his least favorite album and ruby hates it too, the reason was they were both heavily on drugs(thats why scrims voice sounds different) during the making of the album and during 2018. scrim was also having trouble with his family and having issues with ruby
Although I understand their bad memories with this album, I don’t know how they can’t see that this is some of their best work and some of their most cohesive work. This is always my recommendation album for new comers
This was crazy time to be a $B fan.. they “nearly” broke up the group around this time.. back in 2018 ruby made a post on IG saying “What do you hate most about me?” And scrim replied in the comments basically saying I hate how when I talk to you it’s not like I’m talking to my cousin but instead talking to like a business partner pretty much like all they talked about was the music.. which is why in 122 Days scrim said “talk to my cousin like he actually my cousin” also the song 122 Days is called that bc I’m pretty sure it was the 2017 Greyday tour they were on tour for 122 Days which is insane

Funfact, “Ricky Kekney” is actually BONES. One of the GREATEST underground artists of all time bruh, I 100% recommend him, especially songs like Corduroy, RampartRange, HDMI, Chaos Castle, AMETHYST, AsTheWorldHasATendencyofDoing, and KeepTellingYourselfThat
I haven’t watched the vid yet, but I think even if this isn’t everyone’s favorite album, it’s a crucial part of their musical and personal history. This album is Ruby at his best musically (at the time) but at their worst personally. ESPECIALLY Scrim, with his addiction worse than ever. He has that opiate voice in these songs, you can barely muster power from your vocal chords on H. Ruby knew he had to carry this and it would be their last album if Scrim couldn’t get clean
i swear one person said ruby was at his best musically on this album now hella people just copy that exact statement to seem different, ruby was only slightly better than scrim on this album, this album is trash except for a few songs
@@Klokkey I’ve never seen someone else say that so it must mean we all have different opinions, but it’s not always due to a trend. I think at the *time*, this was Ruby at his best. I also think it was scrim at his best despite the drugs, I don’t like how people shrug him off because he’s not as melodic or fast as Ruby. You get two separate styles on every song. Also, what do you not like about this album? I have a hard time seeing how someone could think it sucks tbh
if u like the album genuinely then more power to you, my main two issues would be that the vocal mixing and the beats do not sound good to me at all, but that only applies to half of the songs because there are some great tracks like Nicotine Patches and 122 Days, but the worst thing of all is I No Longer Fear... IV being a stain on what i think is their best series of music, I, II, III, and V are so amazing and IV is so bad compared to them. But again if this album is something u enjoy then im happy for you @@tonyflamingosucks6590
@@Klokkey I don’t engage with online discourse very much so I’ve never seen that sentiment shared around, but there’s an emphasis on “at the time” Ruby has leveled up a lot since then (pun intended) but back then this was his most melodic project in my opinion. I mean, nicotine patches? I’ve never heard any emo rapper do a melody like that
“Ricky Kekney” on Fuck the Industry was BONES from Team Sesh, it took me a while to figure out who’s voice that was when I first listened to this album😭
For some artists drugs can be an explosion of creativity as its a gateway to express emotion, which get reeaaally messed up by drug use, and raw emotion is what makes music good with or without drug use.
So Meet Mr Nice Guy & Carrollton were released early plus project pat (of 3-6 mafia) cosigned & is now one of Scrims producer tags "play me some of that suicide pimpin man" is project pat. (He may have even helped produced that song too, cant remember).
Bro I was so fucking hyped when I saw this, I got all my munchies and shit and watched the whole thing no skip. Please upload $uicideboy$ reaction more often. Also next one should definitely be High Tide In The Snake's nest. This shit is insane.
You should react to the KYS SAGAs 12-15 in one video if you can, some of their best songs are from those sagas, should be 12 songs in total you would be reacting to if you decide to do it man, keep up the reaction I love seeing you fw the boys and I envy you because I want to be able to hear these songs for the first time again lmao
On this album they talk about drugs and death so much, because it was recorded before scrim's rehab, so the sound is super dark and scrim`s voice is so f*cked up Correct me if I'm wrong
Fun fact, originally meet mr nice guy was supposed to be a collab song with bones, scrim posted bones X suicideboys with that in the background with them in the studio, I can’t remember what the name of the song was originally called in that post, but as we can see that never happened
They also had a collab album/song called sesh suicide scrim posted the cover for in 2018, asked when we would want it, never happened unfortunately. The post is still up too!
if you listen to scrims album expect something different then what him and ruby release as $B. Scrims album has a different type of sound to it since its his solo project.
As a long term SB fan this album is not my favorite, I can definitely see why other people love it but scrim being so high out of his mind during this period really ruins it for me because I know, and I know that he knows (scrim) can do way better that what he did on this album
Bro I fucking love your reactions. Our librarys are pretty muchthe same, Suicideboys, bladee, yung lean, etc etc. lmao. You should review some South Park Mexican, he has some of the craziest songs probably ever made lol, beats still hand up fine today too.
$crim hates this album. This was the peak of his drug addiction, he said he was drugged out the entire album and was so high his verses are all underwhelming for him. If scrim went 100% on this album, it’d be their best for sure. Edit: this is a comment from a different channels reaction to this album lmao, I’m too lazy to retype it😂
i know the boys hate this album (for good reasons of course) but its my absolute favorite from them. 10,000 degrees is my top 1 song from all their music
some $B songs grow on you after a few listens, I really didnt like half of this album first listen but after months I cant get them out my mind (except carrollton its mid)
yo you ever gonna post the other city morgue vids? ik you prolly listened to volume 3 since you were playing everything is broken in the mba video, i’ve been waiting to see that and toxic boogaloo
Scrim during this time was heavily drugged up. 10000 degrees and i no longer feel the razor are prime examples of scrim being on lots o fopiages during recording. Was a sad but crucial time to their musical history
40:25 I hate to say it but the descriptiveness and vividness of their lyrics were way better when they were loaded. It happened to a lot of artists in the same category.
They were both going through it ect during this but $crim was on drugs most of these songs this was the last albulm we’re they were on drugs 2 years later they’d dropped. stop staring at the shadows first sober albulm.
I usually only listen to this album for ruby because he absolutely killed his verses. And the news report at the beginning was sent to Ruby by the homie. She used to run an old $B page on Instagram.
