Still stereotypes. But is way better than all the shit you see out there. The animation is just awesome. I think you need to live some years in Mexico and interact with the Mexicans, working and studying with them some years to get actually close to how real México is.

The transitions with the mirrored movements are great. First the disk-flip becoming a totilla flip at 0:12, then the kid fist-pumping becomes a partygoer fist-pumping at 0:19. Honorable mention goes to the selfie transitioning to the people looking at themselves in the mirror at 0:09. Also, the protagonist walks left-to-right in the background of the disk-flipping shot, and has just finished a left-to-right movement in the pancake-flipping shot. It all draws together!

En realidad oye primos no era de a fuerzas representar la cultura mexicana es más era para hacer referencia a cualquier país latino americano y como los extranjeros o en este caso los que tienes mama o papa de descendencia latina y mama o papa de sangre E. U. como ven los esos criollos a todos esos países, pero el verdadero problema es que la chica quien hizo esa serie que por cierto es de de sangre latina y mitad sangre gringa la muy pendeja no supo expresarse en como y el por qué el motivo de hacer esa serie así que nadie ganó tanto la chica como los que la criticaron quedaron con cara de 🤡🤡🤡

I’m queer and latino. My dad refused to teach me Spanish growing up, so the only way I could learn Spanish was at school, so I never sounded natural. I’d get made fun of whenever I tried to speak, I’d get made fun of whenever I didn’t speak. Eventually I gave up on it and came to a place where, compounded with the ways I’d been treated for also being LGBT by other Latino/a kids, I just didn’t want to associate with what was supposed to be my culture because I felt completely rejected. This video kinda encapsulates all the stuff I want to connect with but feel like I’m not allowed to. To the extent now that whenever I do try to speak Spanish, or whenever I’m in a room with other Latinos, I just feel like I’m lying or like I’m pretending

I’m so sorry you went through that. I know it’s easy to feel left out of a culture and blame yourself for it. I’m going through a slightly similar thing where I can’t really fit into and identify with my culture and feel sort of out of place in my country. Don’t let those people stop you, it isn’t your fault that you weren’t able to learn spanish growing up! That’s on your parents! Everybody’s allowed to reconnect with a culture, even if they had been very little when their parents moved out of the country to another place. Not to mention, you can become a fluent in spanish in a year if you work hard and by studying your country’s way of speaking spanish, you can sound more natural!

I love the little note of magic and unreality when the wrestler wearing the rabbit hat launches into a huge rabbit-like leap to double-kick his opponent at 0:16. Like that's how magical wrestling feels to the kid who fist-pumps in the next scene.
