Sunseeker's new Predator Evo 60 is not only a great boat, it's a strong indication of the builder's future design language. Come aboard with me and see what I mean.
I really like your boat tours. Theyre quick, to the point, show the entire boat and are nicely structured and well editted. Best boat channel on youtube
Glad to see Sunseek trying new "design language"... The price point is attractive, fraction of other more deluxe yachts of same size, without many compromises. Perfect week or weekend party yacht...
Thanks Nick, as always a good tour through the boat. I genuinely get excited when you have posted a video and enjoy watching them. Keep up the good work.
The engineering on these boats just keeps on amazing me. While this is a decent sized boat, it's certainly not big. Yet they managed to cram so much into it without it feeling cramped. Quite the opposite in fact, it feels rather spacious, as you said yourself. Lovely boat indeed :)
I love the Evo 60. I would have preferred a full-size fridge in the gally.... if I may add my few cents. For the rest, it is the stuff that dreams are made of. Thanx for your brilliant videos.
Great concise but detailed review Nick, amazing amount of accommodation for the size, lovely details too, I like the galley being downstairs, don't know if I'd fancy too many nights in the crew cabin, it reminds me of being in an MRI scanner!! Seems like Miele have definately got the monopoly on kitchen equipment on these boats, no more RU-vid comments anymore on the prenunciation!! Look forward to watching the next one, keep up the good work!
Darren Hudson I agree. If you want crew, get a different boat (Nick reviewed a Pearl recently with amazing crew quarters.) This is an amazing boat for self-crewing. People might think I’m mad for saying this - but I’d even enjoy cleaning this one if I owned it.
What a beauty! Boats like this really makes me question the point of flybridge boats, especially up here in Scandinavia. I was really surprised to see a third cabin AND a full beam master. Sure it's a 60-footer but still. As Spizz Energi said, it's like the Tardis! :) The melding of the interior and exterior is probably better than any other boat I've seen, a really nice touch that (in fair weather at least) gives you a social area the size of a small super-yacht! If I were ever to manage to get hold of one of those, I'd probably mount a bulkhead with doors separating the bed from the rest so I could re-do the toilet as a wet-heads so I'd have a proper shower accessible directly from the bathing platform. I think I'd have more use for that then an extra bed. :)
In March, through my own stupidity, I managed to break my ankle and dislocate a shoulder, which has meant I've literally been sofa bound for a couple of months. Having so much time on my hands has meant a lot of RU-vid and one of the big finds was discovering your excellent channel. I've thoroughly enjoyed watching your reviews, which are short, to the point, structured in a consistent way and focus on what the prospective owner is interested in. I've also particularly enjoyed the 'meet the owner' chats you've had and would love to hear a few Sunseeker owner's experiences. Your Predator 74 tour was great but it would be good to see a tour of the 55 EVO just to round off the range if you can talk Sunseeker into it. I agree with the previous comment, best boat channel on RU-vid.
I went on this boat at the show last year. Very nice. I was a bit disappointed with Sunseeker’s out of water display , 3 yachts instead of the usual 8 plus on display.
Amazing walk through as always! Seeing that you love the GoPro, I couldn’t recommend more that you try out the Osmo Action - the 4k60fps in wide with stabilization and no fisheye effect would be a game changer for your vids. I’ve switched my entire team to the Osmos and sold all our GoPros haha. Just a suggestion, keep up the fantastic content!
It's an interesting suggestion, and a tempting one. As ever, the issue is that I'm set up for GoPro, spare batteries, spare cradles, a matching Hero 6 as back up etc. There is a Hero 8 due out I understand. If that is the same body as the 6/7 then hopefully it will move the game on to Osmo Action level, but everything I have will still work with it. Fingers crossed.
AQUAHOLIC That’s very true. The osmo does share the same USB-c charger as well as the same accessory plug so you could still keep the same go pro accessories you are currently using. Then you’d just need to get a few extra batteries. But yes I would wait and see what the Hero 8 will offer. The truth is it doesn’t even matter, it’s not your gear that makes your content entertaining, it’s you & the way you present these yachts.
@@CiprianDumitrascu That's kind of you to say so. Good gear and good image and sound can only enhance though. Will definitely take a look at the 8 compared to the Osmo and upgrade one way or the other. I don't need much excuse to buy new tech! :D
Very stylish boat, and I love how open the saloon is (where indeed, did that door go?) but I think I'd miss the flybridge... I think I'm getting older. When I attended the Southampton show in 2013 I didn't want a flybridge, now I do lol
Good job 👍 again Nick. But going back to the boat. This is the nicest boat under the sunseeker brand of any length. Well done sunseeker they should rollout this look across the brand?
The metal line on all the doors down below is copied from princess y85! Not a fan of the layouts in these smaller predators on the main deck the helm is directly in front of the saloon seating making it so cramped for 60 foot! They should of had a smaller aft cock pit seating and moved the helm forward a bit more so the saloon seating was open with tv across! As it is only half the guest's sitting could see the tv! I mean go look at the princess v60 to get an idea of a great layout on a 60foot sports yacht! Great video as always Nick your growing so much that every other yacht video on youtube the comments all say aquaholics is the best! Every single video ! Your the biggest name in this segment of RU-vid along with denison! Can't wait to see your collaboration with them!! Happy sailing all ⚓🛥
This is the only Sunseeker I've seen that I might take over a Princess.Great cockpit space compared to a Princess. I'm not a fan of the galley down layout. Shame Princess can't have this cockpit space with their galley up layout.
“Shame Princess can’t have this cockpit space with their galley up layout”. 🤦♂️ You bring the galley up, you have to sacrifice something. It’s not rocket science.
@@drloppy Princess could have gone with a similar U shaped cockpit seating arrangement as this Predator and still have the galley up layout. It's not rocket science as you say.
@@drloppy There is room for a U shaped seating arrangement to one side and a walk way to the other just like on this Predator. Princess V65 is even bigger and they still go for the bench seating arrangement over U shaped seating on that boat as well. Its their choice but there is space for it.
Alex the V78 has the layout you require, u shaped cockpit area to the side, galley up and a saloon area. With the boat any smaller, the cockpit layout shifts in order to fit everything on the boat. Something needs to compromise
Great video although a but fast didn't quite catch the loo in the owners cabin and the so called crew cabin is just not worth it, should have been an integrated space on the main part of the boat, or a proper entrance to the engine facilities. Personally I hate entrances to anything at water level except for the garage, always worried me about sea water coming in as well.
Im with chunkychinn on this point. The crew cabin was so small that they should not have even bothered. They should have used the space in a different way. Good call chunkychinn !
Dan McLaughlin I’d imagine that when ordering you can spec that space for something other than crew quarters. Storage for dive gear and a compressor for example. I’d hope you have the flexibility, most users of a 60ft craft won’t have crew
Another nice boat, with nice lines. Enjoy your videos so much but would be good for a little more technical information like the range of the boat. Thanks so much for these videos love watching them.
Still one of my favourites. So stylish, all the space and practicality you need and that drop down window seals the deal... so many boats have hinged windows between the saloon and cockpit... Naaah not for me... I want this
More space as I aspected. One could say almost 3 livings. A sunny day outsie living, the cockpit, for sunny or bad weather the salon and down a cosy tv corner, breakfast bench.
That crew cabin might not be for a full time crew but if you have two couples and three kids for example, that's somewhere to put that extra person. Also the toilet there is handy rather than going through the entire boat.
Nice boat Nick. Can you add in the future the height in cm of all the rooms, cabins in the boat, during the tour in the boats? Will be very interesting. Thanks in advance!
Great presentation Nick, as always. May I interest you in visiting a particular boat: sail boat UMA. Dan & Kika just arrived in the UK, from St. Johns Nfld Canada, a few days ago, and are featured at the Southampton Boat Show. I'm sure you will be delighted to tour their boat, that by the way they renovated all by themselves. Cheers!
Very nice. Love the layout and the galley is very cool. I think SS have upped their game with this one, especially with the finish. Would you say approx 1000 miles at low speed on full tanks?
Nick- going forward could you please make note of the water making/storage available on a vessel? When I see all the nice bathrooms, I always wonder how much shower time would be available while away from a shore supplied water source- particularly on the smaller boats.
Very nice boat. Looked like it was laking a freezer and washer/dryer combo unit. Otherwise would be perfect. I imagine you can order one with those 2 items. Good video as always. On one other note: on other boating videos that I watch DONT GEY JEULOUS, not cheating on you lol, the other guys pronounce it as me-lay. Lol
@@AQUAHOLIC Just found out you met up with Captain Tristan of AWOL. Another one that I follow. Hope you got a chance to make a video. Both of you guys plus David and ESystem make a great team. Your videos are very informative and a pleasure to watch. There are several videos, including yours that I have watched multple times. Thats how good they and the yachts are. Enjoy your weekend my friend.
Difference between a 50 and a 60 foot boat is huge but a 60 and a 70 they actually seemed pretty similar especially with how well sunseeker did the layout on this one
Now, this yacht has personality - it crams a lot into a small space, and I think the crew cabin is better off used as a lazarette. On this boat, I would enjoy being busy - being an owner/skipper/chef/deckhand would be fun. Just add a barbecue to the cockpit and let me take it up to full throttle with the roof open every day. I’m a simple man. It doesn’t take much to please me.
My biggest -- maybe only -- issue with these boats is I wish they had a better range. Sunseeker quotes it at 220 nm which means for practical purposes it's a 200 nm boat. You lose a lot of flexibility with a range like that -- you'll struggle to get from e.g., Sardinia to mainland Italy, just to pick an example. I'd love to see this boat with a 300+ or -- fantasy -- even 400+ nm range.
A "quick" look at the boat when compared to other video's you have done but understandable given the circumstance. As usual though, you covered all the important details anyway and I love seeing where the crew can be "stuffed away" on these boats. Thank you for your efforts. Your video's are something to look forward too when everyone else seems to be all 'doom and gloom' these days.
so is there actually a difference between this and the predator 57? Looks and feels exactly the same. Shame to see that Sunseeker doesn't offer arneson drives anymore, these kind of boats should at least do 40+ knots to be considered sport boats.
I can see where you’re coming from - but this yacht looks to me to be an option for people who don’t want to kick back and be waited on. I could spend weeks on this boat, just messing about, doing stuff, cooking, sorting out lines and servicing things, rushing all over the place (at full throttle, obviously) and then rushing back for a pint of milk & box of tea bags. Everything about this little beauty seems targeted to my restlessness.
I’ve never been to a boat show but as a normal attendee what access do you actually get the boats? Can you go on them or just look up at them from outside?
If you look at the pictures you see right away what’s wrong with it; it has no bow seating area. So the new princess V55 is the one to get. Not this one.
Any chance we will see you do a tour of the Mangusta 130 Nick, my favourite boat by miles. There is a couple of tours on here but nothing to the extent you go to.
Whilst i love the Sunseeker boats .. I couldn't believe that the sales office based on Loch Lomond a short walk from Cameron House Hotel don't do charters . What's the point of having a sales office at that location .and they aren't willing to allow potential customers try the boats out on the Loch ..
