Times are hard. You did really well with your haul. Here in Australia, we would have only got half of that for that budget. It's more like surviving than living. Bless you! 😊
They are very hard. I didn't realise things were so bad in Australia. I'm really very lucky to have a car and a good job, but some people really have very little in England and I'm trying to help people who are struggling here and everywhere. x
New subscriber you popped up and I love uk based budget videos as you say everything so expensive. Coop probably most expensive . Do you have coop card or app as there's member price which might explain 15p difference over eggs. When you say coffee budget do you mean takeaway. As was going to say greggs seem to be the cheapest . If you sign up to their app you can get 1 free coffee and snack. Think you can do same with Costa coffee ☕️ ideal if either of those close to your work. Other 2 options apologies if already know about them. Olio is app where people give away free food they collected mostly from supermarkets. My local olio champion mostly seem give away bread/ bakery items but could be ideal for breakfast or freezing bread to use for packed lunches. The other is too good to go where you buy bag online and it's lucky bag . Only coop/ morrisions/ budgets do these near me. But lots of the coffee shops/ cafes near city centre and some hotels offer cheap breakfast/ lunch or tea again maybe something near your work that widens your options.
New sub here absolutely loving your content, remember your visitors are coming to see you and enjoy your company, that being said you managed to top up with what you needed really well, it just goes to show having a pantry with basics in it and a freezer with extras tucked away really helps when those tight weeks rear their ugly heads, I watch a lady who’s channel is, Be free Be Frugal and boy does she get some fabulous bargains!
I love a jacket potato with baked beans and cheese. Another thing I do it boil them and leave them in their shells and they last a week in the fridge. I like the Yorkshire tea but when I go to Aldi or like I butcher gold packets of tea bags. You could make egg and whatever you have in, ie, tomatoes, ham, onion, mushrooms or cheese. They are great for taking to work or having for breakfast. Also fruitless quiche is good or an omelette and baked beans with chips. First time I've watched one of your videos and I enjoyed it. Thanks, kind regards Angeline 🤗
This is a great little haul. PS. Watch the Co-op. Over the years I have frequently found them overcharging - especially on what are meant to be special deals and Yellow Sticker prices.
Nice video. Treats are so expensive. I'm trying to budget of £30 per week for food, cleaning products, toiletries. So far been in budget my shopping was £45 per week and only me and cat though he eats better than me 😂😂😂 He has fresh boiled chicken daily while I eat beans 😂😂😂
Aww cats are more important. I love cats 🥰. Well done for getting the budget down. Some weeks I do £30 if I need to buy a lot of basics and cleaning stuff. Keep going with it. x
You have to watch the co-op they put prices/offers on the shelves but when you check you receipt they have charged you much more money! Not good practice, come on co-op not good practice. I’ve stopped using the Co-op they are so expensive, convenient and local but I’d rather walk further to another supermarket. Great menu plan, you’ve done well.
There is nothing like a challenge to get you thinking 😊 Just tea ☕️ and coffee for me And a packed lunch 🥪 saves a lot of money 💴 Catching up on videos while the outage rages on 👍🇦🇺
I've heard of folks doing that .. I think I'd probably struggle with it tbh .. I dont have much for rags as I got rid of a lot of stuff when I moved home. Do you just throw them out when you've used them, or wash and re use? x
@@MoneyMadeMagic Its a science. If I clean up cat puke and other nasty stuff, the rags get tossed. Those used for dusting , light cleaning, etc, get tossed into the laundry. Good luck. We’re all on the journey.
Aldi or Asda brand coke max is ok and only 49 p for 2 litres when on a budget . Chill it or have it with ice. I love Pepsi max but won’t pay £1.50 a bottle. Hope this helps x
Thank you yes it does 🙂.. I really wish we had a lidl a bit closer and I wish our Aldi was a bit more organised.. its a bit of a jumble in there at times, but I'll certainly give it a try 😀
Yeah I have thought of that .. but not got anything to cut up right now .. and then I'd have them all to wash too .. ill need to give that some thought. Is that something you do?
Thank you for your feedback .. but this channel is to reflect what happens in real life.. in my life. So yes, for this week it was a £12 shop of the things I had to buy for this particular week. It represents what happens when unplanned things happen.
@@suzannehaigh4281 thank you for your feedback, it was for a £12 shop accounting for what I actually needed to do given my circumstances. Apologies if it didn't meet expectations.. Im very new at doing this.
It takes time to transition from how most folks usually spend to full frugality, where you learn to only buy essentials if you have only £12 for the week. OP will still save money if this stops her heading for Greg's!
@@lynnoorman2144 thank you yes .. actually I'm very new to being sp frugal.. I started in January and new to putting myself out on RU-vid too .. two huge learning curves. And yes the last thing I want is to be tempted to spend money in fast food places on a whim, I found having a bag of crisps and piece of chocolate every day kept me in check. And the overspend came from one of my other budgets in which there was spare cash x
