This could be a nightmare for us as we are looking at a few wide beams on Rugby!...... The competition is already off the chart and now Nick's gang have just jumped onboard (I'm in yours and Nick's gang). Oh well that's life -
This was a surprisingly nice change from the usual boats and I think it would be nice if you did some more canal boats while we're all still stuck in lockdown.
@Edward Gordon Check out a channel called Cruising The Cut. Charmingly presented, professionally filmed, a joy to watch. Although not as terrific as Aquaholic, it’s another wonderful channel but focused on canal boating.
@julie Wallis I already watch him, and other canal boat channels, its just nice to see someone who usually tours sea going boats, have a look at some canal boats
How severe are the Covid restrictions over there currently? Over here in the U.S., depending on what state you live in, life for the most part is back to normal in many ways & has been for many months. Of course states like California had or may still have severe restrictions while places like here in Texas they started easing the restrictions last June.
This beauty is getting a "thumbs up" even before watching the video. Correct me, if I´m wrong, but I thinks it´s unique on the channel and therefore it deserves it. And off topic: I would like to give a shout out to the sponsor(s) of AQUAHOLIC. You also make it possible, that we can watch Nick´s videos. *Thanks!*
Thank you for your sponsorship recognition (I own Intelligent Money and am a big fan of Nick). This really is a lovely boat and way ahead of its class.
@@jugaloking69dope58 Cheers, I do it because I am really into it, not just for corporate reasons. Nick is doing a 'meet the owner' tour with me on my Sunseeker 25m yacht later in the year when lockdown is lifted. Should be fun!
@Slippery Storm bureaucracy. If it’s able to move, you can’t have it as your home and if it’s not able to move, it’s hard to find a place where you can legally stay.
Don't think I'll look at a canal boat the same again. Very elegant and could easily live onboard this all year round. Quite a lot of boat for only one sleeping cabin though!!
I used to work for 2 Canal Boat Builders between leaving the RAF and joining the British Army. Engineered them from start to them being fitted out and placed in the Canals. Really enjoyed those jobs. Over my time built over 17 boats from Narrowboats and Broadbeam Boats.
What a lovely boat but not just a boat a home on water that happens to be able to cruise the inland waterways. Perfect for a retired couple that has the desire to cruise but not on the open sea. Wonderful tour Nick! I really enjoyed it.
I know very little about river and channel cruising, but this appears to be the perfect boat for it. I love that it's a real kitchen, a real living room, a real bathroom and a real bedroom. Better than many apartments in Manhattan.
It’s only just a day or so ago that I even knew these boats exist through “Cruising the Cut” and haven’t seen inside one yet. Very interesting. A completely different lifestyle. Thank you so much for bringing one to your channel.
Amazing workmanship, excellent attention to every detail. Better than most houses you’ll see. Would make a very comfortable home. Thank you for sharing.
I loved how you pressed the nobs on the kitchen cupboard doors like you would normally on a yacht lol... Lovely boat not at all blingy and looks incredibly comfortable 😍
Great..Just great! That's an amazing boat, I really have never seen the inside of one until now Nick, thanks! I would love to see more of these. I want one now ! Loved the Live Video.
Well, I for one would be more than happy pootling down the river in that little beauty. Watching the country side slip by, mooring by a pub for some drinks and kibbles on lovely summers day...................Sorry - got lost in the idea there. Nice one, Nick. :-)
What a boat! I have watched numerous videos about river and canal cruising in the UK, but never have I seen a boat like this. One could actually live on this boat.
What an amazing boat. They have changed a lot from since I was a kid. In the 70's my parents would hire one and we go out for a week on it. Nothing like this one at all
FINALLYYYY CANAL NARROWBOAT!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR AGES Edit: Not exactly a "narrowboat" but I like it either way. I've been waiting for you to review this kind of boat for a long time.
What a lovely change of pace! You could easily live on this boat full time! That galley is a full on kitchen too! Thanks Nick! Would love to see a standard width narrow boat for comparison
A nice change of scene Nick. Having done a few canal holidays I can say that there are quite a few boats out there with modern interiors. Not all are twee traditional narrow boats :) This boat is really nice with great potential for live aboard. Room for a larger kitchen and dining area. Once you acclimatise to the slow cruising speed you really do detox from the modern and superfast speeds we live in today.
so gracious, beautiful design, this is truly home from home, I can see myself on-board for a long time in absolute comfort and convenience, loving the variety Nick, more please !
Aqualines are amazing boats, for a couple these make a real housing option in the UK. There are boats with two bedrooms which are very cool. Love this boat
A motorhome for the river. It is screaming for a sigar in the cockpit and pokertable in that lounge area 😂 Great to see another unique way to take to the waters. Thanks @Nick
Excellent, my in laws used to have one of theses floating “one bedroom flats”. With a sofa bed in the sitting room, it was comfortable for 4 for a few days. They also had a log burner on theirs.
We have been narrowboating for a few years now and always hoped to get one but although it's a very relaxing & tranquil way to explore the inland waterways they are restrictive in that the speed limit on canals is 3-4 mph. So allowing for locks and stopping for lunch, 20 miles per day is about average. Having got hooked on your channel and the boats you tour, the idea of being able to cruise around the coast or pop over to the Isle of Wight, whatever, has really opened my eyes to 'other' boating. Seeing this tour has resparked my love for canals and I feel so torn! oh what to do. The only thing I would say about widebeams is that although they are incredibly spacious compared to narrowboats, there are a lot of canals & locks that are not wide enough to accommodate them, so you may find you can't explore many inland waterways. We have two weeks booked in September on a narrowboat & plan to explore the Llangollen canal, COVID allowing 🤞. Would love to see some Narrowboats on here as it's interesting to see how people utilise the limited space. Thank you Nick & look forward to your next tour whether it be a cosy canal boat 💤 or a 40 knott yacht 🚤 😎
I almost didn’t click, thought I’d seen plenty of these, and besides, no use for something like this here in Canada. Of course it’s an Aquaholic Tour, so I had to click, and sure enough, one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. If I lived in the UK, I’d have something like this over a house or apartment. Lovely.
Excellent Nick. If I lived in the U.K. I know what I would be living in. That particular one you showed is a real beauty!!! I do like the widebeams more than the narrow but it does limit what canal routes you can take. I certainly would like to see more, especially since the current situation limits your availability of Super yachts. Excellent tour and thanks! 👍🏻😁🇨🇦
Surprised that it’s only a one birth - would have expected another area for guest sleeping but a cracking boat nonetheless! Definitely a good alternative to London’s extortionate flat prices. Look forward to seeing the others!
Very nice indeed. I can imagine that being a person's main home. Living a really cool, laid back lifestyle, on the river or lake ... fishing rod in hand.
Fun to see one of these rather strange (for a Swede) boats from the inside, you have seen them all these years in TV series from Great Britain and I understand that it is a big thing there. So thanks for a super interesting episode!
I love the variety on your channel! Thank you for the detailed tour of this lovely boat. I enjoy seeing all the amenities and how they differ on each yacht. :)
Had a narrow boat out a few times when the kids were young, but old enough to open the locks really was great fun on the river Lee, regents canal and the grand Union Canal.
Wow! Seriously impressed with the interior! That's a lot of boat for the price. What a beautiful boat. Another great video Nick, and certainly unique to the Aquaholic channel..
As a follower of a few narrowboaters on YT, I have seen so many canal boats of many shapes and sizes, though this impressive craft tops them all! Perhaps Nick can display his wide-beam boat handling skills on video for us one day.
How lovely! thank you for showing this boat - so neat and tidy. I can imagine a slow cruise up some lovely waterways, very relaxing I reckon! more please!
Once again; I'd happily live on there. Can you imagine? That river cruiser moorednext to a small piece of land on the River Fal, close to the harbour; with something like an Axopar 45 (there's one coming this year) tied up next to her and a classic Mercedes-Benz E240 estate in its garage on the piece of land. Complete and utter bliss.... I think you've given me an idea young Nick
“Cruising the Cut” in style. I really enjoyed this video. Your Super Yacht videos are what brought me to your channel a few years ago, but England’s canal boats (narrow boats) really intrigue me, so I was excited to see this video.
Wishes DO come true - I've wished for a proper Aquaholic tour of one of these "Long Narrow" boats since April 2020. While there may be other channels that feature this style of craft, they are NOT Aquaholic. Thanks again, Nick, you float my boat...
Living in Lyon, france, i always dreaming of having this type of boat that we call "péniche" in french, few people have the chance to live in it on the two famous river passing thru the city ( Saône and Rhône) wish of getting one, one days... As always great content keep up your the best ! Love your socks as well!
Surprising amount of space! Long and narrow sounds... funny. Great quality and specs for puttering along a river. Home from home, indeed! Great tour, Nick. This one was really interesting! Cheers!
Very impressive interior, I've never seen inside one properly either, for me its like the motorhomes, I like seeing your tours but I don't particularly want one, so as you asked for feedback 😁, yes, add them to your Aquaholic list of boats to tour, really cool to see different stuff from you 👍❤️🇬🇧
great video again Nick ... i've always fancied pottering my way around a canal for a few months and do some fishing at the same time .... it would be very relaxing and extremely comfortable living ... i would replace the diesel fire in the living room with a wood burning one (personal preference) and i would have the roof covered with solar panels and a small wind turbine to be self sufficient electricity wise
This is the first time I have search for the boat after watching your video. I have no intention of buying one, but I needed to know more for whatever reason. They are charming to look at, I wish I had a friend with one! Great video, its nice to see something different on the channel. I think a river boat would make a great meet the owner video if you can find someone!
