A brand new model from custom builder RC Motorhomes, it's the RC Motorhomes RC8M. Sponsored by: www.themotorhomeinsurer.co.uk... In association with: igneousassetfinance.com/our-p... With thanks to: rcmotorhomes.co.uk
As an American who owns a camper, I wish our companies would come over the pond and learn some best practices from their European counterparts. Just the way the drawers and cabinets open and their entry systems work are so much nicer and of better quality. Our American companies could learn a great deal on how to build a quality product.
It's beyond evident that it's built by people who simply won't tolerate anything less than perfect, whether it's the upholstery or the electric wire routing. Thanks for showing us around!
I'm remembering the original 1970's era Winnebagos' interiors were all decked out in imitation wood, lace trimming and shag carpets. One weekend at the beach and the shag was replaced with linoleum. Looking back it was all so crude. This rig is the polar opposite. Trim and fit as a professional athlete, the entire coach looks and feels "put together". Nowhere is there even a bit of "well, if it had this, or if this were moved" - all is well in "layout land". However, if the steering were L/H and it was imported to the Colonies... Thanks RCM and Nick
You really see where your money goes with a bit of kit like this. The overall fit and finish is impeccable with the bits you see and all the hidden wiring. The RC team is really top notch!
Hi Nick this is by far the best camper you’ve shown for me, well laid out, proper storage space able to convert to more than two travelling, really impressed with this model .
First, that extra-passenger solution is absolutely GENIUS. No RV maker in the US would ever think of something like that much less offer it. I believe largely due to the lack of regulation, there aren't many (if any) Class B+ RV makers that offer s truly safe solution for three or more passengers. So, it's essentially 1' longer and $30K more than an Airstream Atlas with what appears to be a LOT more practicality and utility, better build quality and more elegant finishes. Again, I have to believe that it's the much more stringent EU regulations that drives the quality differences between US and European RV manufacturers.
Absolutely LOVE the RC8M Nick! BY FAR the best motorhome I've seen you review. Extreme attention to detail and space planning. Love the drop down table, outside TV, cameras, privacy door to bedroom, full size shower, rainfall shower head, computer integration, proper seats with belts and modern, smart design. Truly everything one could want. Bravo on this vehicle manufacturer. Smart and not gaudy. Well done.
I've seen bookshelves that hide secret areas; bookshelves, desks, and couches that hide beds, but I've never seen a couch that hides two seats before. :)
I like the bedroom small door as it provide the privacy , also bathroom setup , cabinet for the switchboard ( neat and well organized ) and etc . Absolutely it’s luxury motor home !! Wish to include in my buckets wish / dream list for such style of motor home for mobile travel . ❤❤❤ Thanks for sharing .
You guys have absolutely a great eye for design..... Love the entire layout of this motor home as it has everything and plenty of room to boot..... The smaller kitchen is great .... Having a lounging room is great.... Not a wet bath is great.... Interior color has that relaxing tone to it.... Plenty of storage..... etc....etc...I could go on and on.... Thank you for the tour
Only thing I didn't like was the fit of the privacy door for the master area. It had a large gap between the door and wall that you can see right through and with the bed layout it's allowing viewing right where you would be changing clothes/dressing after a shower.
I'm surprised that got past Quality Control. It's effectively a quasi private door which is inadequate bearing in mind other things take place in bedrooms in addition to dressing/undressing.
Richard and his team are true craftsmen. Wonder if he would do a behind the scenes video showing how a buyer would go through a spec with them and how turn a chassis to the finished article…… bit like project sunseeker
Hi Nick, And thank you and RC Motorhomes for this beautiful build of this RC8M what a beautiful and wel spec motorhome this is a great show as always Nick I like those shows from RC Motorhomes or refit a Sunseeker as well Thanks again and see you tomorrow
ive seen three of these now and they are above and beyond anything on the market. just saw a hymer 2 person vehicle that was great but small and the same price.
For that price I'm staying at the Four Seasons...in any country of my choice. I'll wake up every morning to breakfast. Someone will clean my room and give me fresh towels. I'll look out my window toward Molokai, Midtown Manhattan, Il Duomo, the Strait of Bosphorus, Bora Bora, or the French Riviera. I'll take my wife to dinner at the French Laundry, Single Thread, The Fat Duck, or Azurmendi...every night. I'll hire a uniformed driver to take us to all the sights. I'll take some "me time" and go tarpon fishing in Costa Rica while my wife gets a massage from Sven, Bjorn or Olga (I'm hoping it's Olga). We'll then charter a NetJets flight home to our local airport. I'll take the money I save and ask my financial advisor to drop it into whatever fund (stock, bond, real property) he sees fit, and sleep well knowing I won't have to park some behemoth in my side yard.
That sounds lovely. If you'd rather do that than buy a motorhome, you're definitely better off doing that instead. Motorhomes are bought by people who would rather have a motorhome. 🙂
It is built on an Iveco Daily 3 litre with the Hi matic 8 speed gearbox, they are a fantastic vehicle a proper commercial tool with a beautiful motorhome body, totally bombproof motorhome that will last years and years, all I need now are the winning lottery numbers , Iveco are a very good company with a great line up of vehicles and hats off to RC Motorhomes .
These motor homes are becoming more and more like super yachts. One day I’m going to watch one of these videos and you will say and here is the crew cabins
I've watched loads of your reviews on vehicles and this motorhome is the best I've seen. sure, those super huge america lorry sized ones are 'better' but in terms of something you might see driving around the UK, this one takes 1st place. Great spec and I don't think I'd change much if I'd have been fortunate enough to buy one and spec it myself!
I Still Believe New Zealand where I live it's behind the ball this is a beautiful vehicle with a lot of space for the size of it which would be ideal for New Zealand driving thank you for the comprehensive viewing
I really enjoy your videos on RC Motorhomes. They produce beautiful well though through motorhomes that appear unrivalled in that space. I have seen some van conversions they did that were equally high standard but nothing new for a while. If they do a new one, please feature it.
Lovely van, I had a Autotrail Cheiftain 2008, it was also a nice van in it’s time. I can’t believe how expensive these motorhomes have become. The reason they are now so expensive they have many luxury electronic parts which really pushes the price up. Years ago a friend of my wife said to her, are you just going on a wee cheapy this year. Haha only if she knew we could have gone the the Caribbean for ten years for the money it cost as a total package.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I think I heard right at the beginning it was £260,000 ? I can see where the money was spent exceptionally elegant.. Not sure if I had that type of money I would buy one one but it’s stunning. Thanks for sharing Ray K UK 🇬🇧 YNWA.
Probably one of the nicest, best appointed motorhomes I've seen.... especially considering the size which is not too big as to be awkward. Love the garage area, love the two double beds. Not sure about the outside TV but otherwise it's absolutely fantastic. Would love to take this to Europe with my bike to do some of the big climbs and even skiing for the season. Anyone got a few quid to lend?
Proper RV Nick! Clean, modern design; very nice. Like having having the additioning seating with seatbelts. Really like the modern colors; thoughtful choices. Best RV I've seen in quite a while. Cheers to you and Marianne!
If I was on holiday in a camper van, the last thing on my mind is to watch television, especially outside, personal choice of course. Virtually no kitchen workspace and teeny wardrobe. I’ve seen better appointed vans that are smaller and of course less expensive.
