I thought you had 5 million subscribers, but you only have 5 thousand! Even though your content matches or is even batter then a RU-vid channel with 5 million subscribers!!
I love your videos. They are always clear, precise and contain some interesting projects. I’ve done a few and I’m sure I’ll get around to doing more in the winter months. Big thumbs up from me. 👍
Great video, I've just finished setting mine up and it works perfectly. I had planned to do this with one of those second hand 1L PCs but this was a cheaper and space saving option that I hadn't previously considered.
I'm afraid the main difference with a Raspberry is that these cheap Android TV boxes come packed with malware, keyloggers and all sorts of malicious software. This is something that RU-vidrs should definitely investigate more 🙏
Random guy with random information. If you wanna play these android devices online with a friend. You need a PC with "Parsec application" installed in it. You also need a Titan 1 adapter. Parsec is a free streaming service, stream anything. Titan 1 adapter is to catch console controller inputs. You display the game with a capture on OBS studio with a zero delay capture card so your friend online can see the console device screen on "Parsec". You stick your Titan 1 inside your android. The USB cord that comes with the Titan 1 stays plugged inside the PC. Now on the PC open the Gtuner program for the Titan 1. Go to tools and look for output device and pick Xbox 360. Output for Xbox 360 because android devices can detect these controllers. After you set the output to Xbox 360. Open "max Aim di" Look for direct input device. Ask your friend online to move his controller so you can select the correct controller for Titan 1 to catch his inputs so they go to your android device. When you see inputs moving. You and your friend have to map buttons together. Example, on your mouse you click on up "direct input catch" then your friend press up to map the button. Keep doing this until controller is completely mapped. Save the profile so you don't have to do it again. You hit export to save it. Import to load the profile for next time, have fun.
@@BytesNBits Only Titan devices can USB tether PC inputs into actual game consoles. I tried hard looking for a device that does this. No other device can do this. You're welcome, Keep the old game consoles alive.
@@BytesNBits I just found this video. I'm not sure but this device looks like it can the same thing as Titan 1 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oC7DVKXy3UQ.html
Did your box come pre-rooted? If not which method did you choose? Awesome video! I think it's worth noting that some boxes allow for emuelec to be installed to flash with a PC and puTTy for those who wish to replace the android on their box. Also, you may have better luck with the n64oid emulator, it's old/dated but I've had better luck with it on the android side.
My box is still as I bought it. In some cases it says it's rooted, but the LibeElec reboot app says it's not - so not entirely sure. Having said that I don't think you need to be rooted to get it all to work by using the terminal emulator. Thanks for the tips on the emulator side. I've not used n64oid.
Hello 😊 Thanks for your video On my side I use Batocera v35 I have the same Android box and looking for the correct dtb file Model is 4gb Rom and 64GB nand Thanks for your help 😊
Hi. I'm just finishing off a video on using LaunchBox inside Android with my TV box. This will give you the Batocera feel with the full front end but directly from Android. Should be out over the weekend.
If you run EmuElec from the SD card there's no issue. If you install it to the internal Flash you'll need to do a factory reset. I haven't looked at how to do this but it should be possible (probably download an SD card image). I think my box ran Android V9.
great video but it is not working for me.... i have H96 pro+ which has 3gbytes memory and 8 core 1mhz and s912_q9377 socket and i cannot find any setting to boot Emuelec from the sd ram
Has anyone got the amiga emulator working on this? I have the Kickstart files and renamed to kick13.rom & kick 31.rom etc and placed in the amiga/roms/bios folder, but no joy. I have tried ADF games and ZIP games still no joy . all my amiga games work on my raspberry pie using the exact same bios files, I just dont get it?
I've been trying to buy just one for months. Unless you're prepared to sit 24/7 on rpilocator, then it's not happening. Just bought one of these x96 max pluses instead. Didn't want to, but I think the wait for Pi's for the regular individual is beyond the pale now. They're only really serving business customers. I have mixed feelings about that.
@@creechrfeechr8094 hi. I think for the moment we can all forget about buying a new Raspberry Pi. These TV boxes are great for some projects like retro gaming but not for coding.
HI GUYS. I would like to know if i press reboot upgrade in my tv box to load retropie or batocera do i have to do the same every time i want to play games? or is there any option to do it the first time and then it will boot from sd card? Cheers.!!!
Hi. With the setup I used you do need to use the reboot command each time. The other option would be to burn the Eluelec etc directly onto the internal hard drive. I didn't do this as I didn't want to lock my system into the emulator setup. If you follow the instruction on the emulator front end pages they should walk you through the process.
OK, if i understand this emuelec thing, games should in theory run BETTER than if you were to just run them via an emulator in android, also this thing comes with retroarch built-in. assuming this is correct i only really have one question. when trying to use retroarch in android i can ONLY use a bluetooth game controller( retroarch will not detect wired game controllers)is the same true within emuelec? or will i be able to use my usb game controller with retroarch within emuelec?
Hi. I use both wired and wireless controllers with my unit in both Android and Emuelec. The TV box has proper USB peripheral connectors so your USB stuff should all just plug in.
@@BytesNBits i think you didn't understand my issue, yes everything i plug into my usb on my tvbox works while in android, i can use my game controller to navigate all my apps and various menus, HOWEVER when i start Retroarch i am shit-out-of-luck because Retroarch DOES NOT detect my usb wired game controller, it simply does not work with retroarch EVER, it will only detect a bluetooth game controller like an xbox one, now do you see what i am saying?
does anyone else have issues getting Retroarch working with a wired usb controller? it only seem to have this issue in Retroarch, other emulators like Classicboy work just fine with wired usb controllers,
@@BytesNBits IMPOSSIBLE.....d-pad is the only thing that works, can't even access the controller mapping because none of the buttons work when pressed.
Pi's are great for project work but not so good for use as a desktop. Cost is on their side (normally) for this sort of project but power is only adequate.
Hi. It is a bit of hard work to get it up and running. I made a second video on this system that runs everything from Android. Have a look at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YBoGuMyPyI8.html.
raspberry pi 4 t's a joke with overprice and low specs when come to retro gaming compare to android device, even with cheap android phone 4/64 g35 chip you can emulate up to ps2
