SPF, DMARC, DKIM and ensure this is done for all currently in used domains, including those that the business is not used for exchanging emails. + purchase domains that could be confused as authentic for brand protection. 🤓

The problem is, then you've got to pay enough to keep them on staff with their new shiny qualifications, when you only need them once in a blue moon. The ability to drive something like that is quite a sought after thing, and the cost of preventing them going elsewhere, probably far outweighs just paying a contractor when flos off.

26:00 why not use the industry standard solution and use heating strip/rope? you can heat all the piping to prevent freezing so its never an issue anymore. its litteraly standard on all outdoor pieces of piping on commerical/industrial piping that holds water.

Yep I’ve had emails from a director saying I should pay an invoice as a matter of emergency. Wrong post code non existent vat number etc. Reported the bank account number to our banks scam line. The use of “please” gave it away! 😉🤣

As an entrepreneur and business owner myself Daniel, I completely relate to you with regards to a 92 hour week just not being enough. There’s SO much that needs to get done. If only each day was 48hrs 🤣 (Edit): Don’t get me started on long emails and re-reading, going to bed and waking up at 3:30am instead of 4:30am because you’re thinking about all the work.

WRT Boxing in and insulating the water pump...Insulation just slows heat transfer/loss, if the pump is in frequent use, moving water will prevent it from freezing, but even what you've done may not prevent it dropping if not used over a weekend. You'd be better getting some trace heating and wrapping it around the pump and couple feet of pipework, connecting to low temp stat that kicks it on when getting below ~5°. More expensive than bit of exp foam and some scrap ply....but cheaper than a new pump! 👍

Daniel why don't you have a VP to shadow you on how to run the yard and take care of the mundane everyday task, so you can free up some of your time to do other things.

Ashville is a limited company, and In the UK we don't have a CEO or VP for these. We have Directors, with Daniel being the Managing Director (CEO equivalent). Directors (VP equivalent) have a personal responsibility to make sure the company is following laws etc. and a director position could be massive overkill (therefore a waste of money) for mundane tasks. I do agree with you, but a managerial position, even possibly an assistants position would be more suited towards mundane things.

@Christopher_S I use "mundane" to signify the time spent doing tedious work that Daniel does in answering emails, being in the yard traveling to and working on job sites and meetings. If he can free up 30+ hours of his work time for free time, the money spent on a director would more than pay for itself and wouldn't be a massive overkill
