Form follows function is usually an excuse for bad looks, like being told your blind date has a good personality. While both good rules to live by - this boat breaks those and several others as well. The sleek hull and cabin defy the interior's ample utilitarian quarters and subtle charm. Hidden lines on deck isn't new, but ease of flow and control is an added bonus. The forward, finely finished sail locker is a great example of detail, detail, detail. Thanks Nick and good job Hanse - what a treat.

I would love to get a sail on that, would be grinning from ear to ear, that is a lovely looking sailing craft, nicely put together.

Lots of yachts are a bit dark when you go down to the galley,this is so bright and airy it brings the outside in. Great tour as usual Nick.

I'm just so surprised that this was the first time I saw a flip-down backrest on a yacht. It's been used on cars for ages and it's definately a very practical and useful design.

Great video as always Nick. Had a go at sailing a mirror dinghy at Bembridge once but that is as far as my sailing experience goes.

I love how bright and open the cabin is, not a fan of sail boats, but this is gorgeous as well as ingenious.

Was the fuel capacity mentioned? I couldn't find info about water - fuel - distance on power. I now have another boat calling to me. Thank you Aquaholic, this is a perfect boat. (in my opinion.)

I love watching your videos. In the last vid I meant to leave a comment ...but forgot. I was going to say "Have you ever thought of getting a drone?" It wouldn't do for the N.E.C. or Cannes but in other situations like your last vid and maybe this one ( I'm at 27 secs!) it could be great. In your private cruises or trips it could open a whole other outlook. Anyway ALL the best. Back to the vid. 🙂

I've sailed a 42 and this interior on the 46 is much bigger. It's definitely a med cruiser judging by the lack of hand holds and the galley lay out but would be a fab charter yacht for a holiday sailing around the Greek islands.

Hi Nick, a lot of sail boat for the money and that TV was a fast riser too 🙄. Hurrar no dishwasher and laundry, but I suppose there will be room as options. Cheers DougT

That seat backrest is proper small bit of genius. Someone from dealers could have polished the tv screen. Slightly surprised if it's a new launch there's no electric/hybrid/hydro generator motor option.

I also went to the Ocean Village Boat Show, shame I missed you! This was actually one of the few boats I went on board as the large cockpit appealed to me; one usually has to go onboard a much longer sailing boat to experience that; why more boats don't have nice clean thoroughfares on the side decks is beyond me as it makes such a difference when going on the foredeck. Are you going to be at the electric boat show in Plymouth next week?

That is nice one. I am a humble man and my dream boat is First or Oceanis 31 but this would be nice on the Mediterranean. I personally would go for a single heads or maybe a proper shower+toilet and another small one with only toilet

I'm disappointed you didn't talk about the interior layout options, such as omitting the chart table for a bigger kitchen. you can also decide to have a laundry room instead of that 3rd bathroom that in the end no one will ever use. It would have been interesting to know why Hanse also decided to go with one rudder instead of the 2 rudder trend.

I realize it's a cruising boat but it would be nice if the bowsprit was set up for a free flying spinnaker furler. That G1 140% isn't going to be cut light enough for drifter conditions, once it's blowing 7 kts plus the performance hit between a 100% on the self tacker and a 140% is relatively small.

0:31 Obviously a rough price is included in the title, but it's always interesting to catch a nosey of the official price/finance information

So Nick in your opinion, given that there are a plethora of sailing channels on RU-vid, and they mainly use catamarans, which has led to record sales for them, do you see monohull manufacturers lowering prices to compete and pull from the market? Or are they just 2 separate markets like exotic cars vs 'grocery getters' and one doesn't effect the other?

Another great tour! Fantastic looking boat, very specious inside for sure but as it is with sailing yachts there is a tonne of other stuff to consider i.e. how this voluminous hull shape behaves under various sea and wind conditions, how comfortable it is to sail days on end during long passages, how the equipment performs, would the main sail jam in the mast, would it roll too much at anchor etc. etc. A proper sea trial is required for sure for an informed opinion because sail boats are not just about looks but well... about sailing
