Tony and Lucy are lucky enough to add the £65,000 ball to their golden five, and battle it out for a mega jackpot after being honest throughout the game. Will they share?
EXACTLY, as soon as one person decides to pick steal the other one has no chance to win any money. They should definitely add a third ball in that you could pick if you think the other person is going to steal and works as a counter steal so you actually get the money if they pick steal. But if they were to pick split and you pick the counter steal then they get all the money. And if you both pick the counter steal ball then no one walks away with any money.
@@janni9479 it's the people that are selfless and know the money will help the person opposite them more than putting it back into ITV that choose split, the people that care just for money or can't face someone stealing from them will choose steal
You could clearly see the smirk on his face when he saw the steal ball. He knew it... She was going to ditch. Its face reading.... No one could lie at that moment the ball is revealed. He got happy She got mad What dose that tell?
+areufkingkiddingme So he knew she was going to steal, but didn't bother trying to convince her otherwise, perhaps by threatening to steal if he didn't think she'd change her mind? I don't buy it.
@@utilitymonster8267 Bruh he knew she was gonna try steal the money. He said that he can see it in her eyes and body language and the way she was acting. That's why he chose steal so she would walk away with nothing because she's fuckin greedy
The guy was not greedy he was against a woman who he could read was going to steal so didn't let her get it. Smart move I'd do the same if she gonna lie.
Guy should have told her he didn't trust her and will steal it from her. If she wants the money, she will have to split and he will give the money to her afterwards. 😆
You could clearly see the smirk on his face when he saw the steal ball. He knew it... She was going to ditch. Its face reading.... No one could lie at that moment the ball is revealed. He got happy She got mad What dose that tell?
ric4397 Sure, like you are going to convince someone who already chose she is going to steal to not steal. What is more likely to happen if you try that is that she will tell you that she will not steal, you choose “Split” and get suckered.
My favorite part of the episode was when she says, "When he revealed the steal ball, I was so upset." She was only upset because she didn't get away with it lying to this guy and taking it all. Also she doesn't even acknowledge as to why she picked steal in the first place. On the other hand, his reasoning for picking steal was actually quite sincere/sound as you could tell from the beginning that she was going to steal. Well played on his part.
@@QtarosNormalTrip If I knew that the other person would steal, there's no way I would get the money whichever choice I pick so I wouldn't be upset. Is that hard to understand?
I knew in an instant just looking at her face she was likely going to steal. Likewise, looking at his face, right up until the moment of truth, I knew he had every intention to split. He figured out what she was going to do and decided to cut her off at the pass. Better they both leave with nothing than to fall for a trick by a pretty face.
Yep, 100% agree, she just had that look that she so wanted to steal but was worried about convincing the other guy to share, hence why she was so upset at the end. The guy knew this as well. Her nervousness gave her away.
If you look towards the end you can see the guy smiling and the girl look disappointed. This would suggest the guy had intention of splitting but then he could read the girl was gonna steal so he decided to steal aswell. That's why he was smiling cause he thwarted her even though he won nothing.
I thought the girl was gonna steal... Extremely rigid and looked down when she said she told him she would split... The guy surprised me with his steal... I guess he saw the same thing. He's my hero
That is actually incorrect. Your not incorrect about her lying it was blatantly obvious but as someone that has a degree in physiology, Sociology and criminal justice I can guarantee if you tried to take apart a crime scene like that criminal would have just had a massive payday.
the funny thing is that HE COUNTERED her steal, he wanted to split the money but HE ALREADY KNEW she was gonna steal, so he sacrificed his winnings (since he knew no matter what he wasn’t gonna get anything) and stole as well so she didn’t get anything. Smart play. Good man.
if she did actually end up picking split after all those red flags, i feel like this guy would have probably split the money with her anyway. he was clearly more moral than her in this situation, but not naive.
I didn't believe either of them. It takes a special kind of scumbag to choose steal. They show normalizes it, which shows you just how many scumbags there are out there.
@@purple2098 thats not true. The show you are refering to was only the 5th out of arround 300 episodes. So that was NOT the reason the show got taken off.
I believe, from seeing both overall reactions, that he didn't steal because he wanted to. He was very confident that she was going to steal - so he was leaving with nothing, no matter what he chose. He believed (correctly) that his choice was between letting her take everything, or take nothing. I believe that you can see his relief afterwards, as he realises that he was correct - and that he ended up doing the "right" thing. No offense to the lady here. That's the game, that's how it works. TBH, I'd do the same in this position. I wrote a university paper modelling the Prisoner's Dillema - which is exactly what this game is based on. The addition of an audience, and being able to speak to your opponent, muddies the mathematical modelling by introducing emotions into the choice. But it seems to me that the correct option is always to steal.
the correct option is always to steal - only if you are perfectly selfish. as soon as you factor the other person in, it becomes less clear. and if you care about the other person as much as yourself, the correct option is always to split. it's a test of morals.
He could tell the lady he's going to steal, and then split after the game show. This would mess up her calculations. And she will have to agree for a split. This was played in the last episode in 2009 I think.
@@NoobMaster-or2jf - I remember that episode too. During that one, the host reminded them both that there is no legal recourse to any such agreements, after the show ends.....
His smile at 3:06 honestly tells you he would have liked to have split, but he knew she was going to steal so made sure she didn't get it! He preferred they lost it all than let her get away with it.. Good move lad.
SO TRUE.. HE KNEW ..This ugly cow was going to pick STEAL and he stopped her in her tracks... Well done him... BTW..I LOVE seen a "Pissed off" woman...
the guy is the Victim here. He knew and its so obvious this woman cant be trusted.. you can see how much she wants to steal it. His only defense was to steal so she wouldn't get the money.. I wouldn't let her get away with it... he must have been frustrated knowing she was settled on stealing and was open to splitting.. I fully believe he was open to splitting.
You can tell from his face too that he wasn't as obsessed about the money compared to her. She chose the steal ball and says "I'm gonna be upset for a long time". Shut up bitch.
It was obvious from 2:22 when she said "we have to split" that she was gonna steal. Poor guy tried to convince her to split by saying that he was the reason behind most of that money (65k pounds) at 2:24. She then gives this smile at 2:35 because he looked like he was gonna split which made it so obvious she was gonna steal. At 2:41 he realizes, he didn't convince her enough and decides to pick steal. He then nods at 2:47 to even make sure that he is gonna choose steal, cause a person that was gonna split would be praying and hoping instead of nodding like that. At 3:03 she looks so ready celebrate but then she didn't get what she wanted, and at 3:06 the guy is happy that he made the right choice.
The guy is actually smart. He said that he knew that she was going to choose steal by her body language. So he couldn't do anything about it. It was either both of them go away with nothing or he gives her the money. And he chose to play fair so that no one gets anything. He had nothing to lose. Plus he's now not seen as a simp.
@@herobrine1847 debatable but based off logic and psychology, he won most of that money so what would her revenge be? And also at the end he revealed he knew she was gonna steal, and he’d rather have both of them get nothing because she tried to trick him into splitting, she also said she was upset he didn’t choose split so he would have gotten all the money? YOU GOOD LIL BRO?
You don't have to be a professional poker player to know she was bluffing anyways. He was absolutely dead right to steal to stop her from robbing it all. 😂
Normally I always say I'd split no matter what, even if I was 110% certain the other person was lying, but this girl had SOOOO much guilt on her face and I could smell her greed at 0:01 of this video that even I would have stole to block her. This girl might be the only person I've seen on this show that I would pick steal with.
Look at how the face of the guy changes from 2:24 to 2:41. Guess he was genuine at first. But after the fake exchanges from the woman, he was like "What a greedy bitch. Not gonna let you walk away with the money". I think he was kind of happy at 3:05 to be proved right, haha
@2:53 he licked his lips while choosing the steal ball. Im not an expert, nor claim to understand this sort of thing, but i think that is a sign of greediness. (Feel free to correct me if i am wrong)
@@TheHellogoo In Joe Navarro's book on poker tells he suggests that lip-licking is a sign of stress and the individual is attempting to pacify themselves. You can't take one tell in isolation though and have to look for patterns and other corroborating evidence.
you can tell by her face she was going to steal, she found it difficult to smile properly because she was telling a big lie. he was proper cool calm and casual. when the balls get revealed his reaction is that he's releaved he chose steal because she did too, and she's gutted that he chose steal
She's gutted because SHE lost the money. She didn't care for him one bit, and you could see it across her entire face. VERY uncomfortable, and couldn't empathize with him for a second. He was smart.
Nothing means something. It means Greed got the better of the dizzy blonde. He got something and that he could walk out of there with his head held high, seeing her lies just from her eyes.
They can also get nothing without being greedy. For example, one of them could think that the other might steal and logically choose to also steal because most people hate being exploited more than being considered greedy. The other person could also follow the same train of though and then they both get nothing, but they both are somewhat happy with their decision, thinking 'at least I didnt let my greedy opponent get the money'. Oh, and btw, this reaction can be used to determine what they had intended. If they are somewhat satisfied afterward, they probably only wanted to steal so the other couldn't steal from them. If they are pretty angry then they really are greedy.
I really feel for that guy, and if I was on the show I would want to split a jackpot like that as well, but to be honest I would have ended up doing the same thing myself. He could see in her eyes and the body language that she was going to steal. Even I could see the signs, it was so obvious. I would have gone home with nothing but I would have been happy knowing I'd thwarted her from stealing the whole lot from me.
i loved how the woman was like omg I'm so upset money is gone to waste yet if she would have just split so would the guy [ as he can read body language ] they could have gone home with money
I know, utter hypocrite, she's upset she couldn't steal? what about the person she wanted to (never really gonna succeed with that shit lying) steal from? some people are utter gobshites
@@amogoose2971 He isn't a psychopath, he just didn't want her to get away with the money after lying like that. And don't tell me that you didn't notice how badly she was lying
Even I could read her body language. The haste in making him convince to split, the looking down and a look of relief when he agrees. I was just hoping the dude chooses steal because he looked genuine and didn't want him to lose to her.
I am a fair person and i would want to split but would always choose the STEAL ball on the basis that at least if the other person chooses the steal ball i am satisfied that they take nothing for their greed... tricky but it makes sense. id split my steal after the show.
so, you'd cut off your nose to spite your own face? what would you do if the other person was honest and had chosen split? would you keep all the money? or give them half?
well heres the thing you assume a steal person is being greedy but what if both of you just don't want to look like chumps. ? then you both pick steal thinking "if they pick split i'll split it with them"
1 in a billion that the other guy is thinking like i am, the question rather is why risk losing it all to ur opponent when u can have the satisfaction of knowing that the greedy fuck is taking nothing, by the way i will probably even tell them I'm stealing and that there only chance of a profit is to choose the split ball.
someone did that daniel it was rather funny but you'd be surprised how many people think like you do. you assume they're greedy but actually the fear of being the chump is the more common psychological factor
@@danielscarfo3230 that's just not true. It's funny how each person simplifies the others choice to greed or generosity while their own is logical. I'm pretty sure any one who choses to go on that show would have considered that idea.
You can tell he was being honest. He wanted to split, but knew she’d steal, so he picked steal to block her. Not only from his body language and how he talked during their conversation, but him smiling when he found out & at the end when she said she’d be upset about it for a long time, tells that he was happy he blocked her and that was all he was trying to do. If he truly wanted to steal and be greedy, he would’ve been upset like her, too.
Reading faces is hard. But some people are really good at it. Including the guy in this, in fact; he was willing to split but knew that she would steal
That random btch breathing heavily while talking, expression looks dead, way of talking feels like wanna skip all sht and steal, toss random meaningless ultra short sentences. Nervous like having her first time on bed. The last moment you can see her intense focusing on the man's decision like a predator, intended to prey and steal from him. The man doesn't even bother to look at her, knowing he's the prey give no sht to her. Tells that a disappointed poor genuine man against a selfish hole wanna ruin everything.
I know this is old, but its important for comfirmation. It is not unlikely for gameshows to be rigged or tempered with by the production team. Kinda like absence of evidence isnt evidence of absence even if it feels like sometimes it is.
I think it's a scam, when a person checks their ball really fast and quickly closes it they're likely going to be a steal kind of person which their opponent knows so to hide it they look at the other ball and close it slowly to hide it
This is literally the same post, word for word, as one on another thread of a different golden balls clip. Are you just pasting this comment on all the clips you can find? 😂
@@Reeezfgt This is the dumbest possible take imo, like, imagine they actually did that. It'd be revealed in an instant when someone checked, and then the entire thing would be seen as a sham with an incompetent production team literally forever. It's obvious that checking one is good enough.
If you think of it, the steal option is sort of like a win-win if you pick it. If the person decides to deceive you and steal, they'll walk away with nothing. If they decide to split, you can choose to be a good samaritan and split the cash after the game.
It's very unlikely, but its possible. You can't do anything at that point except try to convince them to split. Most likely they'd just steal because they want everything. Although you'd lose everything, it would mean they wouldn't get anything either. So in a nutshell, if you're a "nice" person and you're fine with the other person getting the money, pick split. If you hold a "grudge" towards people pick steal lmao.
I would have gone for steal every time. If the other person chooses to split, there is this possibility of splitting afterward, and if the other person decides to steal, then why give them all the money.
The look in their faces said it all. “Aw we’ve been through this together you have to pick split” Hehehhehe now look, they went home with nothing, nothing at all
Best way to ensure splitting: "Hey I'm gonna pick steal. If you choose spit, when I get all the money I'm gonna give you half, I'll even sign a contract right now and you can sue me if I don't give you the money."
You know what they should do. Play a trick and whoever steals go home with 0 and whoever splits go home with everything. Teach greedy people a lesson and reward honest people.
@@fos1451 so you are saying people are going to pick steal when if you pick steal and other picks split. steal gets nothing, but if the other picks steal as well then they both get nothing, so everyone will have to pick split otherwise you get absolutely fucking nothing??
His expression said it all, steal all the way and she wasn't much better either. Antisipated that the two would steal,I could never trust anyone in that situation either,i would rather lose the lot than let the other win it all. They both got what they deserved.
