£800,000 Yacht Tour : 2018 Galeon 470 Sky 

I really like how there are lots of spots that people could spread out on and make the boat feel much larger than 47 feet.

There are so many clever and smart uses of space from innovative design on both boats and motor homes, I am amazed that more of them aren't high street ready for those living in a more compromised space.

I've never seen a Galeon that was disappointing. Cleverly designed and almost always the luxury levels of a much bigger boat.

Galleons never fail to disappoint and this is no different, lovely boat and amazing tour thanks Nick!

Beautiful materials, ingenious design, easily sleeps 6 in comfort, this is the first boat in this category that beats its Fairline equivalent. Well, in my opinion at least.

I first saw the Galeon 500Fly on your channel, and it’s been my favorite yacht ever since.

The "fly bridge" cover system is still one of the coolest things I've seen fitted to a boat.

Great to see one of this model with a few years on it still in great shape and working as intended. I think that "sky deck" is a concept others should adopt in lieu of a traditional fly bridge. This is a great boat.

Someone set a nautical time machine to 2018, landing at the Galeon order desk where every option on an order form for a "470 Sky" was ticked. It was delivered to a nitrogen filled storage container where it sat, sealed up, undisturbed, until last week. Inspected, launched and made available for showing. And the price is soooo sweet. Great find Nick. And give a "way to go" to the time machine operator.

This is the most advanced little superyacht on the market by my eyes. Headspace below from the seating arrangement above is one of two dozen examples. Incredible. Add a flybridge and anyone would be happy with this I think. Do you have a review of a Galeon 470 Fly as well?

Those Galeons are so cool. Btw I think most people wouldn't bother putting in the balcony "fences" when at anchor, easy to jump in the water and no hassle removing them when folding the balcony up.

Always look forward to your Galeon tours even though I've watched so many I pretty much know what's coming. I'm guessing this is or the 460 are the first in the fly range with full standing room in the master cabin? The Sky version must be a great option for UK boaters where a full flydeck might not used so much.

It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but hey it's a Galeon probably my favourite company for yachts between 40ft and 70ft what's not to like. Only last night I rewatched one of the sub 50fts with this same layout but with the flybridge . I tend to prefer a yacht with a flybridge but sub 100ft I do have a cheeky liking for sport yachts with Galeons Skydeck range best of both worlds . With no missing heads and no breakages double bonus 🤗👌🖖

this is really a shrinken 640.. you should get a galeon for youself nick! yada yadas etc..!!

One could de-option this boat to still be awesome and drop the price significantly. I like it. De-options for me: - The drop sides (gimmie storage) - horizontally sliding windows - the flybridge (the seating in the front is awesome and makes up for it). OMG, how much does the flybridge cost? - don't need the skylights in the VIP cabin. Kinda creepy anyway. - overly fancy rear (do like the rear bench tho and a grill should be somewhere) - fold down back section - how much does that sunroof cost Drop the fridge in the third bedroom, so they have some storage. Replace it with a fridge in the owner's cabin (or elsewhere because you got rid of the drop down sides). Could also downsize the motors a bit, but... Lots of potential.

On these boats do the owners generally just live off takeaways whilst in harbour? These boats never seem to have much room for food storage.

Hi nick . I could be wrong I normally am 😂 but it seems to me that compared to other boat manufacturers and their boats of a similar age and price this company offers more for the money ie German cars you have to pay for basic extras whereas Japanese cars they are included in the price .

I love the convivence of fly bridge boats when maneuvering in tight places but much prefer the look of coupe boats due to the lack of a fly bridge. Its just looks sleeker.

@Nick are you aware there's a channel called 'Nordmarine' that uses your video from 2 yrs ago on one of the Princess X yachts, with Russian speaking voiced over. You might want to copywrite strike it.

A 2018 yaht with delamination or a stern accident. At min 21.41 in upper zone of the image is visible a breake thru the fiber glass ...

Intriguing and clever is a bit of an understatement. It truly belies its size, in terms of what it has to offer - you're never going to feel short changed with a Galeon or feel you're missing out on a super clever feature just because you bought a smaller model. Love them and love the fact you get to bring them all on the channel.

Your straight to the point boat tours make you the best boat channel around.

The stuff they do with space and optionality at Galeon puts Sunseeker, Princess and the more expensive brands really to shame.

I'm curious, and I've asked this befor. How are yacht companies preparing for the EU's diesel ban, which has been moved up from 2035 to 2030 (only six years away)? I've heard that the ban is going to destroy some island communities that rely on diesel boats and trucks. How are people preparing for when diesel is no longer available? I imagine that not having diesel readily available at stations across the EU will create an unforseen military weakness. 🤔
