I love this so much. You actually had the Duke reacting to the fact that this Penelope is not the same girl he took off of the streets. So many reactions gloss over the fact and make him go all you’re still Penelope to me which is good and all but they don’t show him expressing pain that the girl he saw grow up/neglected is GONE and is never coming back. A lot of them are like oh well you’re still here and barely show him realizing that the little girl he failed and let be abused in his house is gone and he can never make amends with her.
And the funny thing is, the korean who reincarnated in penelopes body IS actually penelope. Penelopes reincarneted many times, hundreds of times, and she lived in korea for a life, then she became penelope again. So technically, they are the same soul, just that she doesn’t remember her lives
Yeah the manwha stated that a fragment of Penelope’s souls was reincarnated as Siyeon and while she does come to accept that she is Penelope the original soul who they tormented is gone, their Penelope is no longer the same as the new Penelope. Either way I personally feel like the Eckhart family was forgiven too quickly but that’s just my opinion🤷🏻♀️ like they’re interesting and complex characters but damn did they put OGPenelope through hell.
I really like how in the manhwa all of Penelopes feelings towards the so called characters are real and not just because they seem familiar to her because of her past family but because she really is Penelope
