This project is an analysis and recontextualization of Lady Gaga's most daring project, ARTPOP (2013). In order to serve as the debut representation of my catalog, I honored the album's spirit of creative rebellion. Through retrospect, I explore radical sound by juxtaposing samples of absurdity with prestige. I wield lightness in the dark world of ARTPOP's thematic pillars: Greek Mythology, sexual abuse and persecution.
On the canvas, I appear surrounded by darkness, head tilted downwards. I reveal myself to you in fractions, only: my reflective gear and ghillie jacket serve to juxtapose one another. Through the reflection of my gazing ball, I invite you to witness artpop² - a celebration; my pain exploding through harsh noise.
