I love the story of Obi-Wan and Satine. It was deliberately written to contrast Anakin’s approach to a woman he loved. Even at Satine’s death, filled with grief, he let go. Beautiful tragedy.

I don't think a lot of people truly understand the genuine love Anakin had for Padme. It rips my heart out that he was betrayed and lied to, all on a pie crust promise that she could be saved. And then to live without her feeling guilt and torment. Anakin's love was in the truest and Nobelist way. I hope somehow, she knew the sacrifices he made for her. I have seen every single Star Wars in the theater at the time of release and I love every single movie, so this coming around to my favorite character brings me great joy. I defended Hayden back when that was extremely rare. The people that love him and talk about him this way now is such a great thing to watch happen! If he had teach Anakin properly , if he had backup Anakin instead of siding with the Jedi council, if he didn't come to Padme and put her in danger... Fuck man this story reminds me of my ex and I, I’ve never been a star wars fan but came across this video and this hits home, the love he has for her is so intense that when she died he died with her, my ex didn’t die but I feel like somewhere along the journey through all the pain and discord when I ended it due to personal reasons and not willing to forgive her even though she is the love of my life, I died too and in the process became somewhat of a monster/not myself.. got into the gym and went from barely benching 225 to now almost benching 405 and a massive asshole in the process, not happy about it but I rather that than to have my heart broken ever again, guarded to the point where I won’t let no one in. I chose to break her heart so bad that I still to this day am bitter about it, but my pride is strong to the point that I’ll never tell her how I truly feel about her and the last time she sobbed to me declaring her love to me and telling me she’s willing to do anything to save our relationship I lied to her by telling her that I wasn’t in love with her anymore. I never lost the love I have for her and prob never will. But at this point I can’t tell her even if I wanted to, and I’ll go to my grave with my soul crushed because of not having her in my life.. but it’s the choice I made and will have to live with, if I ever see her again and talk to her we prob will ball our eyes out because the love we had for eachother was truly a beautiful thing, it was the best feeling I have ever felt in my entire life.
